IPad Pro support is nil
I would love this app so much more if it would fully support iPad Pro with the Smart Keyboard and Pencil. As it stands, its a half baked version of the software we would normally find on PCs.
Stupid
We have to pay to have access to the cloud.. really stupid because it's free on the computer...
App Loading New Map Error
When loading new Cmap it asks you to name the new file. When you go to type in the name is freezes up and becomes gray and that app does not work.
Doesn't work on iOS9!
Updated to iOS9 and now I can't make new concept maps. Please fix this.
Lame
Purchase required to share? So much time wasted here.
Login to an account?
I have an account on my school computer. Is it possible to login to it from my iPad?
Love it
This app is a great alternative to using the desktop version. Please make more of the desktop functions (such as aligning boxes, making curved lines etc.) available on the app.
Great concept mapping tool
This iPad app is a fantastic addition to the desktop software. Would like to see an auto-layout option included as without this the canvas can soon become muddled. Also, the link handles at the top of a diagram can become obscured by the toolbar. Great start though, and look forward to future updates.

Great for visualizing ideas
I use this app whenever I have a complex idea I need to work it. It helps me visualize the connections and hierarchies so I can figure out how it all flows together.
Cloud not Free and has Bugs
Overall: This is a nice first step to allow users of CMAP a way to create CMAPs on their iPad. It can also be used independently of the desktop. It still has bugs and lacks polish. On top of that, it charges for a service that does not work properly.
Good: A clean, effective, starting implementation of a concept mapping tool on the iPad.
Bad:. Cloud service has bugs syncing with its desktop version.
Ugly: You have to pay for the (ineffective) cloud service.
This is a fairly easy tool to create concept maps on an iPad. The layout is effective, although the tool actions can be slow. The left pane only allows a list of concept maps. It does not permit folder structures. To sync with the desktop version, you will have to pay (for an app that promotes itself to the education market, this is an embarrassment). Folders that you create in the Cloud location on the desktop will not appear on the iPad version. When you shuffle the Cloud list in to Folders on the desktop, you will loose them on the iPad.
Further work is clearly needed to improve the operation with the Cloud service. This app desperately needs also to pay attention to the plethora of free cloud-based services (DropBox, Box, GoogleDocs, β¦), WebDAV, and iCloud. This should not be tethered to a third-party who charges when it does not work, let alone charges for it in the education market.
Rating: 4 stars for concept and current implementation, -3 stars for having a bug in the Cloud service and charging for it.
In summary: I like this app, have already used it in an enlightening manner, and look forward to using it in the future. I absolutelyI do not like where this app is going with its cloud service for a fee. Be forewarned!
