  • Top marks for originality

Wasn't sure about this game at first but, wow, it's been the best game of the year, so far, for me. Compelling story, fantastic tunes & very clever ideas. The hos are different to the norm & the puzzles are completely original. A lot of time, effort & thought has gone into the making of this. Amazed & thoroughly enjoyed.

  • Brilliant game

Good games and story, best in a long while, actually got to end with no problems
  • Absolutely superb.

This game is perfect- it has everything a hidden object mystery game should have: a fantastic, interesting story, crisp beautiful graphics, great voice acting, a teleporting map, HO scenes that are different and not boring.

I never write reviews, and I've had problems with big fish games in the past. Lately I find the quality of games they release to be subpar. But this one is wonderful, and it's a must play.

  • NOLA, Jazz, a crazed killer = les bon temps!

Update: Wow. That was a long game. So bonus points for long playing time. And the same amount of points deducted for persnickety tapping spots (like on the candles in the tomb). And a few more deducted for a storyline that quite frankly, just fizzled out like a wet firecracker.

But still -- for the change up in HOP games, for the challenging yet fun mini-games, for the different location and theme-y music, for the long playing time and just for its uniqueness, I will sick with 4 stars on the review, and recommend this game as a "buy."

What a pleasant excursion from the castles, fairy lands, deserted towns and snowed-under villages. We're in New Orleans, in time for Mardi Gras. Laissez les bon temps rouler!!

Okay, so I haven't yet done any more than the trial, and I'm off to purchase it shortly -- but Mad Games/Big Fish made magic with their last game (albeit some glitchy issues towards the end, which I hope hope hope doesn't happen here). So I write this to say -- lovely HOPs, mini games, graphics, voice overs, music, and music notes to find. If there are issues, rest assured, Blueflier will let you know.

I will be back soon to finish the review, but so far -- why, darlin'...it's better than jambalaya and hush puppies... :)

Personal update: hi and hello and good juju and blessings to all the reviewers. hope you are doing well. i'm getting stronger every day... xoxoxo

  • Can't go on!

I loved this game to start with...great story, lovely music and quite original hidden object scenes. I am left completely frustrated and annoyed now though as I can't carry on with the game! I am in the detectives office and my inventory just will not show up when I am looking at the map on the wall, so I cannot use the dictation machine!! Dead end as I can't carry on!! I've read of several other people having this problem too!.... Disappointing 😔

  • Difficulty level

I have played many many hidden object games with Big Fish. I like the fact that you can create your own difficulty level. Not many games have this option but this one does. There are 3 levels to choose from, then there is an option that you can customize your own difficulty level.
  • Nearly perfect!

I am not a person to rave, but there is nothing about this game I didn't like, from the music (which I ALWAYS end up turning off, but not this time), to the storyline, to the twist on the HOS and puzzles, to the details the developers included in the game, including the ability to tell at a glance whether or not you have located the hidden musical note in each scene. This game had everything I look for in a game, plus a lot more! And am I the only one who totally loved the fact that the landlord's name in the bonus round is "Stanley Roper"? The few minor annoyances are virtually of no consequence, so I won't bother to mention them! Kudos to the developers and Big Fish for a clever and witty, beautiful game. This was the most fun I have had in a long time playing one of these games, and I have played hundreds of them!

  • Hard for a newbie!

I love the premise but I am playing on easy mode...just a newbie at hogs...and find this game really difficult. Not enough help..where are the glittery bits? Good brain workout tho!
  • Just okayyyyyy

I guess I am the only one but I got really tired of playing games that had little to do with thinking and more about where and how you place your fingers to hit the sweet spot....I play these games to exercise my brain....not my fingers! Story line was hard to follow and I still can't figure out motive unless it was revenge...I am not a big fan of jazz so that did not help. But thank goodness we all don't have the same taste or we would all want the same husband!! I did really like the fact there was there was no long loading time...nice graphics and voice overs and map. Loved the accents as well.
Hi to the team and hope you are enjoying some nice Spring weather after this cold and stormy winter. My best to you Moonbeam, Lynxie, Snooper, Dracy Numbre, Blueflier...hope you are all well and safe.
