You don’t get what you don’t pay for
Useless app. The new update doesn’t scroll news items when openend individually. The front/headline page scrolls fine but not the news items themselves.
Scroll is very slow to move the page
What are these nonsense upgrades to this app. I am regular user of this newspapers. Unfortunately, it is the screen has become very sluggish and this is the big problem to scroll down very slowly. Please fix the Issuse as early as your first conveniences. Reared . User from UK

App ads overlay on top of the news
The wrapping of text around the news report does not work and ends up hiding key info. App is not designed for iPad as images on its main page are cropped. Poor design & execution.
Terrible
The Dawn News App has to be one of the buggiest and possibly worst I have ever used. It has been plagued with problems and continues this trend. The latest being when you open the App you get no news and instead “No data to display”. I deleted and re-installed the App but the issue remains.
Before this there was an issue where when you wanted to read an article it would take ages to open. There’s been issues with the font size. Issues with the app continuously crashing and on and on.
Just abysmal.

Stopped working
Used to be a nice news app, and one that I visited frequently - on a daily basis. Stopped working on my iPhone a few days ago. All I get now is a blank screen with a “No Data to Refresh” message. Uninstalled and downloaded again. Still the same. Not sure is the iOS upgrade caused the problem or it’s something related to the app itself. Hope they fix it soon!

Pretty Disappointing App from Such a Reputable Name
I can’t understand why Dawn group decided to go with the developer they did. With what apps are like these days, this is a very ordinary effort by Dawn/app developer. It crashes, white screens, is slow, videos don’t work, too many ads and ads get stuck. News reading is a painful process on this app. Unless there is a way to update the app quickly and get it working properly, it should be scrapped and rebuilt. I am sure there are long time Dawn readers all around the world who would like to use the app to stay up to speed with what happening in the country and elsewhere, they would likely end up finding another way than relying on this app. I hope Dawn group is listening and would choose to do something about it.

App quality
Its shameful that a premier newspaper of Pakistan could have such an atrocious app. It keeps crashing time and time again, its painful to read articles or provide comments. Please invest in your IT or your good content will become obsolete.
Blank Screen
A week ago I updated the app on iPhone 11 Pro and now once I click on the headline I only get blank screen and no contents. Please fix this issue.
Best news Worst App
It doesn’t make sense an organisation like dawn can’t get their app right for this long. Please fix it before us loyalists lose our patience.
