  • Good first impressions

    The game seems interesting and the tutorials are helpful. It would be nice to be able to access the tutorials again after they are first introduced in case of questions. Also, I’m a bit concerned about how fast I’m needing to use up the crystals, and how some of the matching puzzles are already so difficult. I have run out of crystals pretty quickly from having to use them to buy tools to finish the puzzles or using gems to figure out what to do for the tasks. Update: I am basically stuck because I can’t figure out what to do, and haven’t got enough crystals to get help. The game became boring when I collected all that I could for inventory, but then couldn’t figure out how to proceed with the only tasks I had available despite clicking on every spot I could figure out without help since I have only 2 crystals left. Also, the art is good, but hard to see all details on a phone-sized screen. I tried multiple times to find the guitar strings in the locker, but despite clicking on everything I could see in the locker, I couldn’t get them. I had to resort to asking my daughter to look, and she found them as a tiny white dot on top of a white pile. My eyes couldn’t discern the difference. Slow going now, so I’m not sure I’ll continue playing. It’s really only fun if you buy crystals.

  • Challenging!

    This new update has a moves limit(on the new map at least) as opposed to a time limit. It is EXTREMELY challenging I’ve been stuck for more than a day now. Challenging IS good but I’m at my breaking point 😭 Still love the game and want to finish because of the storyline. I hope not all of the match-3 are limited by the number of moves because I am just so much better at speed. But hey, this might help me develop a thinking ahead skill! Side note: I’ve never had to spend money on in-app purchases. I’m actually so cheap and would never pay for anything lol sooo everyone complaining about having to pay is just not very good at the game sorry to say. And games are supposed to be challenging, I wouldn’t compare it to Candy Crush which has 1000s of levels dedicated to this sort of gameplay. Of course these will be more difficult to pass, there are less of them.

    I love this game… just waiting on the new location update to finish the storyline. Please release it I keep coming back after years!

  • Can only be played once; Still no Reset!

    Like many other reviewers I found the Match 3 mini-game extremely tedious, but since changing the mini-game from a time limit to a limited set of moves to solve the puzzles the game overall for me has been far more enjoyable. But I do have one issue with the game, limited play. By that I mean you can only play through the game once. Once you get through all the currently available levels there is no way to reset the game and start over from the very beginning. Basically the game comes to a dead end until the developers release another location, until then you cant replay the game. I have tried deleting the app and reloading it, but my game data is saved on the developer’s server and linked to my device. This annoys me because I had not setup an user account that the game says is important for them to save user data and prevent loss of game progress, but it does that whether or not you create an account. It also means that new players cant play if they are on a device a previous player had used. For me, who loves to replay games that I had previously enjoyed, this is a major drawback of the game. Please, developers, give players the ability to restart/reset the game back to the beginning. Update: Year later and developers still haven’t made a way for players to restart game. Can’t even reset by deleting game and reloading. Very disappointing. For that I’m removing a star from my review.
