Description of My 050

My 050 is a service that allows you to place cheap phone calls to regular phone numbers in Japan and any other country in the world. ADDITIONAL FEATURES FOR 050 NUMBER HOLDERS: - Unlimited free calls between My 050 users - Free access to 0120 Free Dial numbers - Receive free calls from any other phone - Call forwarding service from your 050 IP-number to any number in Japan or abroad FEES: On September 1st, 2022, we will introduce the following two My 050 Number Service fees: - an application fee of 550 yen - a maintenance fee of 550 yen, every 6 months Users who subscribe before September 1st, 2022 or those who apply for the service via our authorized agents will not pay the maintenance fee until April 1st, 2023. Add credits to your account (by credit card, PayPal, or at convenience stores in Japan with My Payment) and enjoy some of the lowest calling rates in the market! Please note that in order for us to issue a 050 number, the law requires that we get from the user personal identification valid in Japan. If no valid personal identification can be provided, we can issue a Brastel account without a 050 number, in which case, all calls, including those to other My 050 users, will be charged. The maintenance and application fees do not apply in this case. For further information, please check our website or contact us at english@brastel.co.jp

  • Need Japanese mobile number to sign up?

    I tried to make an account and have the verification code sent to my US number... but you can only use a Japanese number.

    I want to use this service because I don’t want to pay for a Japanese number!

  • DO NOT USE THIS APP

    Downloaded the app because my SIM card told me I could use it to upgrade my data plan. My brastel data ended without warning when I was away from WiFi. Thought I could use this app to immediately up my data. The whole point of the app is for the convenience right? NOPE. The only way to buy additional data is to purchase credit via PayPal that you then use to buy additional data. Now 12 hours later after paying 30 USD via PayPal there is no credit in my account even though it clearly states it’s supposed to take 5 minutes. This app is a joke - you should upgrade your data at a Lawson or buy a new sim card when yours runs out. This app is hot garbage. Don’t make my mistake.
