At least 1/3 of my imported photos have disappeared from the albums.

I have the free version and it does what you want it to do. Saves personal photos and videos, while also giving you the option to delete them from your camera roll. Hardcover uses points/coins to get add-ons, but the best way is just to buy the app so that you can access all of the features it has to offer.
