Reviews of EGLM1

  • Surprisingly good and useful app!

Now that they are all Auv3 these apps have become so much more useful. I own many of the best retro drum sample packs out there and I really love the choice of LM sounds used in this app. Still can’t get over how much I’m using this little machine, it truly has a very retro sound to it, the sequencer just makes the rhythms sound “right” to my ear. I’m grabbing the rest of the bundle that I don’t have tonight!
  • Sounds don’t match labels, rows are reversed??

I just bought and downloaded the app, was having fun playing around, but then noticed the sounds of the rows are reversed as to how they are labeled.
  • Love it!

Updating my review to reiterate how much I love this app. I gave it 5 stars before, and I’ll give it 5 stars again. It’s honestly my favorite drum machine app, and the one I go to more often than not. I think it does an excellent job capturing the Linn vibe. The mix control for each part alters the characteristic of the sound, and gives you a large palette of sounds to work with. My only real complaint is that I wish the Congas and Toms had separate pan controls for the high and low pads, so that you are able to pan the high and low Congas/Toms independently. Other than that, I couldn’t be happier with this app.

It’s nice to have a dedicated Linn app, versus messing with samples. I have the Classic Machines pack for Cubasis, and I think this app does a better job emulating the Linn Drum. If you’re a fan of the Linn Drum, this is definitely a must-have, especially if you want to be able to fine tune each of the sounds to your liking.
