  • Love the app but missing some essentials

I love this app. I'm a SLP and have been looking for an app where I can set up a group with both artic AND language goals. So this is a great solution. However, the improvements I would suggest include: adding pictures for every list, improving the phonology section to include every phonological process, and adding simple language targets like labeling and yes/no questions.

Hello, and thank you for the great review and suggestions. We are working to bring thousands more pictures to the app. We will definitely keep your suggestions in mind for future updates. So you know, there is a yes/no section that already exists in the language vault. If you have any more feedback, please email me at lukeb (at) home-speech-home (dot) com
  • Not accessible

Wanted to do the 30 day trial. It worked one time, then every time I try to go in it recycles through the subscription information, says I have already subscribed, then it goes through the same thing again. What good is a trial if I can’t even get into the app?

    Developer Response

Super sorry for the trouble and late reply mec1954. If you are still interested in a free trial we will do our best to help you figure out the issue. Please email me at lukeb (at) home-speech-home (dot) com if still interested.
  • Great app but needs work!

This app is great for many things including articulation, language, phonology and pragmatics. I gave it 3 stars because I feel like for children some things in the app are too hard.

I do like the articulation part and that it has one word syllables, unlike Articulation Station sometimes has 2-word syllables. Maybe a feature can be used to have 1, 2 or even 3 syllable words for articulation, especially for more severe students.

When I do antonyms with my special needs students, I get frustrated that the pictures are not accurately representing the word (i.e. for open/close - they have someone closing a suitcase and for open, they have a hippo opening his mouth). I think that for an accurate and more clear understanding of the concepts being shown you should stick to one thing (opening/closing the suitcase) not two different pics that have no relation whatsoever.

I also use the minimal pairs and idioms.

Keep up the good work! It has a lot of potential.

Thank you for your feedback Angelscribble. So you know, most of the sounds in the Articulation Vault have 1-6 syllables. We are working on a solution to allow our users to flag us to let us know of discrepancies like the one you mentioned. We have a lot of work to do and appreciate your feedback. If you have any more, please email me at lukeb (at) home-speech-home (dot) com
  • Not up to date

A lot of the different areas in language are not complete and up to date. Many glitches and incomplete information. In able to hide the words associated with pictures so that you can drill the students on info. This app still needs a lot of work but it has good potential

  • Great Free App

Since I travel between schools this is perfect so I don't have to bring several decks of cards for my various goals! My older students will love that they get use use an iPad to practice.

  • Free version is good

I use the free version to help come up with target words for articulation. Sometimes the app is a bit confusing to navigate between the different areas (artic, phonology, etc). I find the artic section to be the most useful.

    Developer Response

Thank you for the nice review and feedback. We are currently working on an update that we hope will improve the navigation. If you have any more feedback, please email me at lukeb (at) home-speech-home (dot) com
