Version 4.0 of Shotgun Profiler now supports three target types: large orange patterning, large green patterning, and our small game target. Samples of each target type are included in the app and can be evaluated right out of the box. Tap the camera icon and select “Open sample image”. The app will cycle through the three built-in targets with successive taps. The app has also been updated to report and run in both English and Metric units. Toggle this setting from the “Settings...Target settings” menu item. Finally, a uniformity / quadrant analysis tool has been added as a quick and concise view of your pattern geometry. Select “Analyze...Uniformity” after opening a target to view the uniformity map.

This new version includes an updated table for calculating effective choke and includes ranges for Cylinder, Skeet 1, Improved Cylinder, Skeet 2, Modified, Improved Modified, Full, Extra Full, and Turkey. Effective choke is based on the percent of pellets found inside a 30-inch circle at 40 yards. This version will also handle a pellet count of up to 1500 pellets in the image analysis. This extended capacity can be used for a very crude averaging feature if you shoot the same target more than once and then analyze.
