I got a new pet!!!

My students are enjoying NumberShire! They are all very focused and attentive during the NumberShire intervention activities, however outbursts of ‘I got a cat!!!’ or ‘I got a puppy!!!’ occasionally break the silence in the computer lab.

Kids love this game for learning math!

I assisted in focus testing the computer version at my local elementary school. All the kids adored their time with game and the kids showed significant improvement with their whole number math skills by the end of the game. The iPad version was a welcome improvement because of the ease of use for young kids. Although the computer version was wonderful, I must say that, after seeing my nephew use this on the iPad, that the game is very approachable by less computer literate kids. Selecting answers and interacting with the game is very simple when you take out the "mouse factor". Overall, I think this program is a wonderful way for young homeschool students to learn math or for students attending school to improve on their whole number math skills. Great game 5/5.

Fantastic!

My second grader loves this app! She actively wants to play it in order to advance and collect the various pieces of clothing, hats, or pets for her character. Great use of persistent game mechanics to hook the little ones!
I highly recommend it for any kids learning math.

My Students Love this Game!

I've been using NumberShire with my students, and they love it! I have students who have struggled or been disinterested with math, and NumberShire has gotten them excited to learn. The game teaches math skills in depth with lots of practice opportunities and corrective feedback. It covers a lot of Core-aligned skills and provides me with detailed student performance reports in an online dashboard. These reports give me great info on how students are doing and how I can support them and gives me confidence that critical math skills are being addressed.

And the kids love getting pets, outfits and prizes. The stories and characters are really cute, too. I'm really excited I can now use NumberShire with our school's iPads.

Check your work like an expert.

The main character, Mr. Elder, of the story says this throughout the math activities. Both my children now repeat this phrase and put it to practice when doing their homework.

What I felt was best about my children's NumberShire experience was the excitement they had learning and solving math problems. The activities were teaching based and not simply skill and drill. The activities were all tied to the story and my children got a real sense of accomplishment completing them and helping out the characters in the world.

My personal favorite result I witnessed from using the NumberShire app was, my then four year old, using the in-game hundreds chart and taking it upon herself to accurately count from one to one hundred repeatedly.
