  • Just wait till its ready

Very cool process and ideas. Not worth anything until it works tho. Can't even create a new song at the moment.... Also English translations not the best. Still the best layout and concept in a music app tho! There are too many instruments too.
  • Great idea, terrible app.

It's sad because the app is fun to use and produces some decent results. However the insane UI and bugs make it practically unusable.

The only export option is .mp4 which is pretty useless to those who want to modify the music. Apparently the app has MIDI out capability, but I don't have the hardware to test it.

Worst of all is the app does not re-load the chords from a save file. It will play the song and show the melody line, but not the chords!

If the devs add midi export, many of the goofy UI choices would at least be tolerable. But without it this app is at best frustrating to use.

  • Whistle recognition very poor

If my own sub-par whistling were to blame, I could understand it. But trying to capture the tune from the opening of the "Twisted Nerve" song from Kill Bill - very clear whistling only - the notes captured were nothing like the notes whistled.

I would increase the rating quite a bit if the recognition were fixed.

  • No sound.

Spent an hour with it and can't get a single sound out of it.
  • Very buggy app

If the obvious bugs can be fixed it could be fun. As it is I had to delete it to avoid calamity.
  • Terrible pitch recognition, interface

I'm a musician and got this for a toy. The pitch recognition is crap. Didn't recognize four quarter notes whistled at the same pitch.

The interface is a mess, too.

Wouldn't use it even if it was free, let alone $3.
  • Fail

The main function of whistling a tune into the composer simply doesn't work. I tried for 30 minutes using varied ways of trying to get it to recognize my tune and it failed. A couple of shut downs and one time it generated a tone that would stop even when I closed the app.
  • Great idea, if it worked

Flaky as hell, and simply does not record ANYTHING like what I try to whistle in by way of melody. When it does record, it vanishes notes after a few seconds. If Apple could be bothered with App Store quality control, this would never be allowed to go on sale until it at least came close to doing as claimed.

  • Almost

This is fun to play with and really has a lot of potential. I've used it to generate three "songs" and by adjusting the settings I can get good results. The biggest problem I see is that the songs you save do not include most of your settings. Yes it saves the notes, but what about everything else? Tempo? Instrument selections? It's almost like starting from scratch when you load something you saved. Of course songs you export are locked in with all your settings as you would expect.
Lots of other glitches make this seem like something that was released in beta. Still, if they clean this up it will be great.

  • Okay, well it's a mixed review

I was really looking forward to using this program as advertised, but there is no relationship between the tune I whistle and the notes that appear on the phone. I will say though, typing some random notes into the program and asking it to "write a song" is really funny and very entertaining. I'm still mad about the whistling thing, but I may get my money's worth out of this program yet.
