"VoiceMapHK" is a digital inclusion mobile map app, with the vision to bridge the digital gap and enable everyone enjoy the benefits of the technology advancements. "VoiceMapHK" provides users with a one-stop access to geospatial information in Hong Kong, including detailed digital maps and building information maintained by the Lands Department, and integrated geospatial information about public facilities provided by various government departments. Highlight of Functions: * "Voice Over" feature which facilitates the visually impaired users to retrieve location information. * "My Location" function which allows users to locate their current position. * "Nearby Environment" function which searches the nearby buildings, facilities, MTR accesses, bus stops, etc. * Available in Chinese and English versions. Note: "VoiceMapHK" mobile map app aims to provide geospatial information service to the public, and to give an idea to users of their current position and the surrounding environment. As there will be a certain degree of GPS inaccuracy, the location information (including current location, position accuracy, straight line distance, etc) may not be correct and accurate, and are for general reference purpose only, please do not completely rely on the location and position information provided by the App. The "My Location" service and the location information (including current location, position accuracy, straight line distance, etc) provided by "VoiceMapHK" are estimated by the built in GPS. The estimated location provided by built in GPS of mobile device may deviate from actual location. The GPS accuracy could be affected by various factors, and normally the positioning accuracy of built-in GPS of smartphones ranges from 5 metres to 500 metres. In some cases (such as located indoor or under limited sky window), the estimated location provided by built in GPS of mobile device may deviate from actual location for 1000 metres or even more. "VoiceMapHK" requires an internet connection. Using "VoiceMapHK", data transmission fees may be incurred for transmitting data through mobile devices. You are suggested keeping track of data usage from time to time. * Although "VoiceMapHK" is a free application, user may be charged by their mobile network service provider on the use of data service. These charges can be very expensive on roaming. Please ensure that the option of "Data Roaming" have been disabled in the mobile phone settings. "VoiceMapHK" operates on iOS version 8.1 or above.
