Only works on open networks
If the controls contractor has the network open, it really works great. One problem is that you don’t have access to change the actual flow setpoints. You need to use MyDC Control for that. And really you can calibrate and do everything else from MyDC Control. So the Airbalance app is kinda pointless.
The other problem is if you are working on secure network, ie: really anything that’s not a new build, you need the owners or security personnel to authorize the use, as you have to be on their personal/company/government networks for both the airbalance and control apps to work. And most are unwilling to permit this access I’ve found.
