Love the app but really wish it was ipad landscape compatible
As stated in the title my only gripe is that you can’t change the screen orientation for when I’m viewing the app on my ipad while on the magic keyboard. Other than that, incredible app and one of the best sources for news out there for sure.
App not working right
I am having problems with the most recent version of Democracy Now which I did not use to have? I have been dependent on this show for many years as a primary news source and like to watch it over listening to it however, as I watch it for a bit the sound just stops and the screen sometimes freezes and I have to keep pressing the arrow on the screen to continue to watch. It will happen over and over! I know it is not my I-phone (just got an 11) This is most annoying—can someone please help!Thanks, Andrea

So glad the app is getting updated again!!
I love Democracy Now. Essential news source. The app went without an update for a very long time. It wasn’t even optimized to fit on an iPhone X screen. Super glitchy too. So happy they’re updating it again. It finally looks normal on my phone. I hope the developers read this because they are doing a great job! There are still performance and smoothness issues but I will look past them. Just glad the app is up and running again. Hope they keep providing continuous updates to keep the app fresh. Good work y’all!

Good app. Although I often have my own oppinion about most stories, this app has worked on my tablet, but I have not used it there since updating it to OS or IOS 14, but have since that update used it on my 7 plus phone, but it seems to freeze up when the video is turned on, and needs fixing. Just thought I would let you know just incase I am the only one that is noticing this. O by the way I am using voiceover. From Peter Earl Frandsen

App hasn’t worked properly since 9/21
I can’t get the app to play videos anymore. It might be because I updated iOS. Also, the app doesn’t have short fast forward/buttons, which is a real flaw.
The news, however, is great. Watching (or reading or listening to the headlines every day would make anyone pretty well informed in just 10 minutes per day. I recommend the headlines to anyone who wants to be well informed, regardless of your political opinions.
The other segments are interesting and informative as well. They have an anti-war, pro human rights, pro-democracy, pro-choice bias, but are very informative. Everyone has a bias, so I’m not saying this is bad.

Best Show in the World - Worst App Tho
First: I can’t live without DN!
The app? Just not ready for prime time. Every morning I click on is a mystery as to whether or not the audio version will load! If it doesn’t (30% of the time) I reluctantly try the video version. I’m reluctant to use it because then, you’re trapped unable to surf while listening.
Even THEN, half of the time I’m in video view IT locks up mid-story and becomes impossible to watch without clicking PAUSE/PLAY over and over again.
I’ll always TRY but if you guys could upgrade your process/technology/app, that would be awesome!! Posting this review from a point of love for DemocracyNow!!!

When the (now referred to News Hour, on PBS) first broadcast it was a place to go for unbiased news. Something I’ve always been passionate about. It started at a time when reporters saw their work being stifled, in a time of misinformation, as we see today.
Because as a whole the US does not value this important information, they’ve been bought and paid for 🙁

Still needs work
My only complaint centers around its share capabilities. It’s easy to share a particular story, but how do I share the entire show? And why do I want to share the whole show? Because that’s the only way to share the musical break. I have to use my computer, copy the link for that day’s show and tell a friend to forward to minute 46 to catch the musical break. Please please please make your musical breaks separate just like the stories. Thanks.
