Doesn’t work.

The browse section constantly says request failed. Used to be a great app, but they stopped caring about it.

Overall, I really like this app

Overall, this is a great app! A few kinks here and there, but I haven’t had any major problems. One thing is that if you don’t pay for membership, you can’t do as much and everything is limited. I did the $5.99 a month plan to kind of test the waters. So far, I feel like it was worth it because I’ve gotten like 8 messages since I joined last week. I actually have already worked with a photog I met on here and it went great!!! Before this app, I most mostly relying on my social media to help me get modeling jobs, but this app has definitely made it easier. One thing that I wish they’d do is maybe list more location options for what area you are in. I’m from Cali which is a pretty big state. I feel like the California cities they listed are very spread out and probably don’t accurately describe where many people are from. I’m lucky that I only live an hour from LA, so I can just list LA. But other people aren’t so lucky.
I would definitely recommend this app though!

Amateur Hour

The talent on this is pretty amateur unfortunately, not sure if half of them are models/actors at all, fake profiles maybe? Sort of a glamour shots from the guy at the mall thing going on here. Ironically my portfolio bounced back twice because the 'images in your profile are low quality.' I've done runway and high fashion, thought they were fine. I wish the other profiles were stronger by comparison but they weren't.
My family is in TV film and fashion. One aunt was editor at vogue london and the other largerfeld's muse, sister works at lionsgate in LA and was with WME for years, brother runs UK production company that makes content for the BBC and ITV, parents have a production company in California. None of them use this app, now apparent why.

Extremely limited

Prophoto definitely attempted to provide users with the essential features, but the user experience translates to a bloated and confusing one. More importantly, there is a severe lack of users, ultimately making this unusable.

Interesting app...

Well made, pleasant interface, good concept.
Usefulness is limited. Not many models in my area. Some profiles are approved without any pertinent informations in them.
Bottom line: not a reliable source to hire models.
