This has been clutch to have. Allows to me rest assured that my Taylor is staying at the correct humidity. My only qualm with it is the strange temperature readings it gives me sometimes. It randomly (only a handful of times over the past year) warns me of a crazy spike or drop in temp that cannot be accurate. Like, -17F or 120F, etc., when it’s not even close to that temp outside or in the house. So don’t know what that’s about. I guess the only other thing is that it drains the battery faster than I thought it would. I’m changing the battery every 3-4 months, I think. It’s worth it for the reading it gives you but was just surprising. Still though, highly recommend getting one for your Taylor.
  • Like it A Lot but …

I have used the TaylorSense for over a year now and I like it over-all. It works well when I’m at home with my phone and Bluetooth. I couldn’t figure out it has trouble connecting when I’m out at a gig but finally discovered that you can’t check it when you are
plugged in. Also, when I replace the battery with a new known good one, I have to close the app and reopen it to get it to update. Inconvenient but not earth shattering. It is difficult for me to check the accuracy of the humidity reading, hoping it’s good. For me, it’s worth the money to have it and it is very easy to install.
  • Great litttle app!

UPDATE: I still like this system a lot, especially for monitoring humidity, it often has false readings on the battery level. I’ve learned that removing the battery and putting it back in will give you actual reading. Original review: I bought this to keep an eye on the humidity of my guitar, because our house is very dry in the winter. It’s not only help me keep it in the proper humidity range, but the battery life sensor is an absolute plus for any performing Musician. I had mine professionally installed, but it looks like it would not be too difficult at all for most do it yourselfers. I’ll be getting a second one for my 12 string as soon as it’s ready for a new set of strings.
