  • MegaFun

I picked this app up at full price on release. One of the top synth apps for using with a touch interface. I see you've discontinued support, hope you'll reconsider or release the next level at some point. Brilliant!
  • I wish I were a melted calculator

This app helped me grieve losing all my friends (because I'm difficult to get along with). I hate the economy too, so I'm glad this is free.
  • Madder than Morton Subotnick!

This thing is terrific! I like that it is mysterious and takes some fiddling to find out what it does. Keep up the good work.
  • Wonderful.

With Audiobus into a DAW, I know this app will find its way into more songs than any other synth. The best unmusic app yet maybe?
  • I think I just happened upon an alien artifact

This is like being sucked up by a spaceship and finding their equivalent of an iPad onboard and having a play with one of their music apps (or maybe its a language translator, who knows). Im giving this 5 stars simply because of how bizarre this thing is. I can imagine a band like Daft Punk or similar having some fun with this experimental sound generator.

  • Took me a minute....

I didn't get it...then I got it. Super fun to improvise and explore with.
  • Love it!

We need more oddness like this in the App Store. My thanks to the developer.
  • One of the best iPad interface designs

Very cool app, especially when you use Audiobus to pipe it through a killer effects app like belew’s FLUX:FX processor. The sound output is always surprising [in a good way]. Awesome, fun and experimental - this has one of the best interface designs i have come across in ages. Feels like you are directly playing the matrix!

  • dying processor soundscaper

Hexaglyphics is just for noise. Sounds like busted computers mostly, and toys with dying batteries sometimes.
The sounds are limited, and mega digital. I think that is the point. It's a type of simple, touch screen instrument, where the action is in the performance, rather than tweaking up a complex situation and sitting back and watching it unfold (like Soundscaper). Having a handful of simple, unique apps like this can make the iPad work as a central component in a noise making setup.
Appreciated the recent major update, where they added latch to the filter, and a clear button to the latch on the noise window. Also have liked the new, little high pitched tone setting; by tapping it, I've been able to get tuneless, little suffering electronics sounds, like little piezo speakers. Has been fun using it through audiobus, into a looping app, like Everest, or Loopy. The inter app audio has worked too, with Garage band, cubasis, and others.
Didn't get the new 808 kick drum thing, though sustained the sub tone is interesting. Have to be careful not to trigger the 808 sound when going for the sustained sub notes. Would love it if there were some other noises available in that 2nd, smaller window now dedicated to the kick drum sound.

This app is a favorite, but also recommended noisemakers are Soundscaper, DrOm, SQRT, bent.fm, BitWiz, and Phase Rings.
