Reviews of Newsela Student

  • Mrs McPherrin

Newsela is the perfect resource for current events / informational reading. Class discussions and or written responses allow participation of all students because the text is available in varying reading levels. An excellent tool.
I am now privately tutoring, I would like to have full access to all content, but I am no longer affiliated with a specific school district. How can I access full access in my position?
  • all my work keeps getting deleted

I use this app for many of my school assignments, and the first few times I was completing the writing portion, I thought that I had forgotten to click the save button so all my work deleted. I recently had to pause during the middle of an assignment, and as a result, all my work was deleted even though I pressed save. This is extremely annoying considering the response I had written was very long and almost finished.

To the developers of this app: please look into changing the location of the “save” button as my keyboard covers it. In addition, I think it would be very helpful if you could make the responses auto save so in the event that someone does have to quickly exit the app, all their work is still saved.

    Developer Response

thank you for your feedback. we will definitely look into this.
