As I mentioned in the previous email, the host was unable to update the rate on time and so could not accept the current rate for the booking. As a result, we are reaching out to you to inquire if you would be able to cover the difference.
Could you please let us know the best price you would be able to offer for this booking so that we can negotiate with the local host?
Typical mobster shakedown. Customer service playing good cop with this result when I refused.
As a result, we regret to inform you that we will have to cancel the booking on our system and provide a full refund in case payment is completed. We have made every effort to find alternative properties for you, but unfortunately, none are available at this stage.
