  • Poor UI, Poor Performance, Kind of Fun

The app has a very amateur UI that is our place on iOS. It usually has the wrong aspect ratio for whatever image or video you choose. The performance is not very good but passable. Although the crystals are a good idea, they don’t work as expected, being additive they can leave the image overexposed which is not how actual Future Eyes crystals look. Some of the filters are pretty good and creative. But most are locked, and this is definitely not worth unlocking them considering the aspect ratio issue. I think this app is due for a new version!

  • Help!

How does one get tech support or ask a question? I paid for the full version, and the photos I take aren’t saving on iPhone. If the app works, it’s 6 stars. If I can’t get it to work and/or get help, no stars. Help!
  • Cool effects that I can’t save

The combination of prisms and filters produces some unusual results I have not seen elsewhere. Which is what makes it all the more frustrating that I can’t save still images on my iPad Pro. The result is a 3/4 black screen with one quadrant showing a corner of the original image. The UI is too cluttered to work around with screen captures, so my only option is grabbing a frame from the video, with considerably reduced resolution.

I also don’t care for the vignetting effect. Sometimes the shadowed portions can be recovered with photo editors with a Shadows/Highlights. A full image to start with would be preferable. Some apps find a way to fill in blank portions. Finally, an automatic star deduction for portrait-only orientation.

Oddly enough, it turns out that the app will capture still images on my old iPad Air. That almost makes the problem more frustrating. Would love to have this app in proper working order. It is fun to play with despite the bugs.
