Hide and seek.. and lose
I must say, the Santoor app is certainly unique. It is, so far, the ONLY app I’ve ever seen that offers an upgrade for a price, but doesn’t disclose the price. You know how much you hate that when you’re shopping? You find JUST the right shirt, handbag, gift for your Mom, whatever, but have to walk around looking for a salesperson to find out the price. After a while, you end up leaving it on a shelf in the wrong aisle.
Well, I don’t like looking around for the price, either, or for an email address of someone who could tell me, nor do I appreciate having to. You want people to buy your app and upgrade it? I’m sure there are other people who also couldn’t find a price, so they moved on.
I find it to be a very poor business practice. Since this is public, I imagine you might respond by popping on here and telling me the cost of the upgrade, maybe including the price in the app info. Or perhaps you’ll continue waiting to see the next poor fool click “Upgrade now!” without checking the price. I’m sure not going to purchase the upgrade without knowing it. And I’m sure not going to do business with a business that knows their price is too high to show as it might scare people off, or hides the price hoping potential buyers will be trusting and click without asking.
You might have thought it was a crafty idea, but maybe next time you’ll post a reasonable price and people will buy it willingly because they see the price and want it and can afford it., instead of hoping they’ll buy it without knowing the price. Good luck.
