No longer works

My subscription is paid up but the app has stalled. It worked initially but is completely unresponsive now.

New app visuals

I’m still getting used to all the aspects of the new app so I’m not sure how to rate it. But there is one issue that makes it hard to use, and that is the white letters on the golden background. Elegant but hard to read especially on my iPhone at night. Dark lettering to contrast (navy blue?) would be functionally better. Thanks for all your efforts

Just what I needed

This is a wonderful app and I devote at least a half hour per day to the large collection of recitations. The effect is marvelous. Just the thing for stressful times.

Unfortunately the app is not working atthis time .. Monday 9/28/20 and ha not been working for 3 days. Simply kaput.

The new app updates are fabulous. I especially love the daily featured recitations and the ability to add to favourites.

Outstanding App

Dear Ones,

Taking a moment to reflect on the wonders of the upgraded Veda App...
—Larger buttons at the bottom of the Player Screen for timer, playback, share, and add to favorites are a grand addition.
—Brighter text is most helpful.
—New playback mode to STOP automatically after a single track is sublime.
—New recitations in Sama Veda, Featured Recitations, and Devi Recitations are Divine.
—More timer options are super.
—coming additions ... a Desktop Version is terrific.
—Thank you profusely for maintaining the monthly subscription fee at this time.

It is such a blessing to be able to have this knowledge at our fingertips...literally. Thank you on all levels for you time and amazing efforts.

Love having this app

It is so great to be able to take advantage of the value of Vedic recitation so easily, and to have Gandharva music ragas automatically play at the correct time. I do have a couple of suggestions. When a recitation is in favorites it only shows the name of the Sukta and not the branch of Veda it belongs to. For example, a Purusha Sukta of Sama Ved only shows up as Purusha Sukta. It does indicate is from Sama Ved.
Also I find it hard to see the back navigation arrow to go to the previous page. It would be nice, if you keep the current color scheme, to make those bolder or more obvious in some way.
I really enjoy having this app and being able to support the Maharishi Vedic Pundits in this way.

Great content, not the simplest to use.

The previous design was far better, and more useful. Difficult to read what is offered and what I want to hear. I generally listen to an hour’s worth as I fall asleep. In the previous app, I played what I wanted and that was it. With the new version, the app plays until it has to be manually shut down. Kills my device’s battery and I am less than enthusiastic about an app that will not shut down on its own. Just another app that demands one’s attention, like it or not. I hope they rectify these issues. Otherwise, I’m cancelling and will look for other sources

Thank you for your review. We will soon be making the design easeir to read. Now if you select the timer it will automatically end the rectiation and close the app, which should solve the problem you mention. We will soon be adding more options to the timer. In the Recitations and Bhgavad Gita sections, in the next few weeks you will find an option to play one track after the other or only one track at a time. Our support desk at support@maharishivedaapp.com welcomes all questions. We encourage subscribers to contact us frequently if needed so we can make the app an enjoybale expereince.

Consider this....

Understand how hard you’ve worked on this new version but feel previous graphic design was more user friendly and easier to read. Not crazy about white lettering on gold — very difficult to read. Also, how can I decide to go from one recitation immediately into the next in line — the default setting now — or not. I don’t really like this new default. I would rather each selection plays and ends, not continuing on to the next in line automatically. Or at least give me the option of turning off this new default setting. I would prefer to make my own play list inside the app. If that could be possible.
I would also suggest volume control inside the app. Very inconvenient not to see how loud it’s going to be when it starts, as it’s controlled by my phone volume, and that display is not visually evident inside the app or outside it either.

Thank you for your review and understanding. We are currently working on making the gold and white easier to read. Your point about offering a default setting option is a good one. We changed this becasue many asked us to. We will look into adding the option to the app. Setting up a playlist is on the list for future updates. We like your suggestion about a volume control inside the app. Thank you again.

Updated version looks good

New version looks so much better, discovered no bugs so far after a week of use. User Experience is well thought through as well.
