I use several apps in my study of Turkish. This is definitely one of the better ones. It’s a mix of language and culture, and it does an excellent job of giving you fundamental vocabulary. In many ways, it’s more like a traditional textbook than modern apps in that it gives you a dialogue, and then you learn from that exchange. Personally, I definitely prefer this over the gamification style of Duolingo (though, I still use that and Drops as well).
The one downside of this app is that it hasn’t been updated in 3 years. The record your voice and playback function no longer works (at least, not on my updated iPhone X). That’s not really a deal breaker for me, since everything else works well, and you can still listen to the recorded pronunciations.
Overall, this is a great app, and it is definitely useful!
