Impressive accuracy and timeliness

This app is the perfect radar app. The atmospheric conditions are very variable in the Netherlands and no hourly forecast is useful. There are several contenders when it comes to minute-by-minute radar forecasts, but none of them matches the accuracy of this one. I’m glad they have made an international version now (their original app is called Buinalarm in Dutch).

Good app

Been using for just over a week now and it's been pretty solid so far.its rained a few times and the radar has been clear.
Definitely use able.paid to remove adverts to support you.would like louder notifications please

No accurate

It’s currently pouring here. The app says no precipitation. Wholly inaccurate. Sadly deleted the app within days of installing it. The idea is good but I fear they do not have the technology to be accurate enough. I liked their previous rain app.

Thank you for your feedback! We use different calculations and if they all come with different expectations, our model then chooses the most likely scenario. As a result, reality may deviate from expectations. Sorry for the inconvenience! Mvg, Team Drops

App works ok but accuracy is poor

On the face of it this app is really good as it shows me when it’s going to rain, what more could I want? The problem is that the data it shows is not accurate enough. It rains unexpectedly and doesn’t rain even when there is a band of rain showing on the app. I’ll still use it as a guide as is useful for that but don’t rely on it.

WARNING: Selling your data

While this app is otherwise great and has a small but robust feature set, the latest update is terrible in terms of privacy. This app collects as much information as it can and distributes it to 40+ "vendors" serving only them. None of your data is used to better your experience, the quality of the report, or anything meaningful other than to track which ads you tap on, track your exact location, and many others. Please be mindful and either delete the app, or remove every single consent.

Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, cookies are required for advertisements. We use the advertising revenue to build and maintain the app. You see cookie selection screens in more and more apps. This is also required by law. You can revoke the consent for all cookies or set the list of goals separately. Do you want no cookies at all? Then take out a subscription for a small amount per year to support us. Mvg, Team Drops

Rain alarm but much much worse

I have no idea why they needed to mess with a perfectly good app.
This version is pretty much useless so I’ll be looking for others.
Poor layout and format. Rain alarm was just better in every way.

Fantastic!

As a dog walker I love this app! I live on the coast of BC, Canada, where winters are ALL about rain. We typically get windows without rain during any day however, unless I am simply waiting around the house watching the weather, it’s hard to plan my day to take advantage of those times.
With this app I can plan when to get out and since owning it, I’ve barely been out in the rain! It seems accurate to within 10-15 mins, depending on the day.
The only thing I’d like to see changed is for the radar and graph to show longer segments. Right now they only display the next two hrs - but I suspect this limitation is due to how the info is provided meteorologically so perhaps this is a limitation that is out of the developers control?
The forecast view does show the next 24 hrs as well as the next 2 weeks so you do have access to the information.

Buienalarm is available in the Dutch & Belgian store. Drops is available in the rest of the world. Since the last update of Drops, it works worldwide so it should work in the Netherlands as well.
