Keyboard

I’m trying to use this app on my iphone. It types the first letter in cuneiform and the rest in english. Can’t find any instructions anywhere.

Just what I needed!

Thank you for constructing this and making it free to use for all of us trying to learn the tongue that governed the world before the languages were scattered abroad.

Extremely Convenient

This is SUCH an improvement from wrestling with unicode, thank you very much to the developers for making this! My only hope is that eventually a version that works on macbooks comes out.

does what it says on the tin spectacularly

my only issue is that it isn't graphically unified with the rest of the rest of the ios keyboard but that's a non-issue and me being annoying

Super helpful with some hitches

This app was a lifesaver when it came to creating vocab flash cards. I have had problems finding a few signs, specifically geš, which (tree, wood, or determinative sign for things made of wood)

This App is of Fine Quality

The app is far better in quality than the copper ingots sold by that rascal Ea-Nasir. I am certain that the programmer would never send my messengers empty-handed into enemy territory.

Very good!

Only comment is that sometimes you go to type something and it doesn’t show up, but usually it can be found under another name. For some nouns containing ĝ, you have to type a g or n or m instead... which is fine. Very few signs are actually missing-missing (however a noticeable one is 𒊊 Sumerian: piriĝ | Akkadian: Lāmu) but like I said, rare occurrence. No other comparable app, and considering the probably low demand, a very good one and an appreciated service.

Does what it says on the tin.

The app is simple and the keyboard is effective. I'm glad it works not just within the app, but also on notes BUT NOT on google docs.
Oddly "ĝ,j,ḫ" do not work with vowels, I can't type "ĝu" in cuneiform. It's very frustrating and needs to be fixed! On a minor note I'm not a massive fan of the keyboard's aesthetic; it deserves an update so it can match all the other apple keyboards.

Also, there aren't multiple ways of getting to a cuneiform symbol. I can type "an" and "𒀭" will come up but if I try and type "diĝir" nothing appears.

I like the subscript function it has when transcribing characters; I don't have to type "e2" or "a4". That's a nice touch :)

Doesn’t work

It’s really good except...

I really like this app and that you can copy and paste the cuneiform into regular text documents and other things. The only problem I have had is with the “ng” character or the “g” with the squiggle which doesn’t see to bring up any cuneiform.
