I love the app because I teach piano and strings lessons as well as band. The only thing I wish for pano would be that noted appear on the grand staff. Otherwise I love the app.danthemusicman91

This is app is insane! I cannot even tell you how much I appreciate having all the instruments available! For a school that teaches multiple instruments this is the BEST VALUE out there for drill work! Plus it's fun and addicting!

I've been using this app in the classroom for some time. It is great, but it was missing the ability to customize the range/notes and if we wanted to use it, it was limited to beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Now we can work on what we need! Kids LOVE this app and suddenly, besides playing scales, it helps them remember all of their Fingerings!Show lessTimbacca

I'm a private teacher who teaches piano and woodwinds. I love have individual student scores and different instruments. This app will get five stars when I can choose the range of notes for a student to learn and practice.8311XHT

I wanted to let you know that the new update (1.2) does indeed allow you to choose the range of notes for custom tests, and you can create and and name an unlimited number of customized tests for all instruments. It has been fun getting students acquainted with this app. The scoring system is a plus as they work to earn the highest score. I would love to see chords added to this app in the future.pbj.music
Excellent app, but could use few more features for classroom use
This app provides an excellent reinforcement of note learning and instrument fingering for young band students, and they love doing it!
However, it would be nice to be able to set up a 'class' and have a login for students using the student version, so I can track student progress from the school app. In that case, 30 students using different iPads could compete during class or at home, and the teacher could track their progress, amount of playing time, etc. It would also be great to have an overall leaderboard for beginner, intermediate, etc.Show lessUser1432

Thanks for your favorable review and the excellent ideas. Can you help us identify an iPad app that does what you are suggesting? We would like to move towards doing that, but it would be helpful to see it in action on another app. Meanwhile, the new update of NinGenius (1.2) does allow you to email yourself a CSV file of all data from each iPad. Then a teacher could combine the files and sort them for top scores or for grading purposes, etc. I hope you find that this and other new features (like custom tests) make the app even more useful for you and your students.Great, but pricey
Really like the app, but awfully pricey for a teacher on their own dime. Enhancement ideas: music theory rounds, ability to upload CSV sheet with student names from Drive or Dropbox, ear training exercises.AlexMcM

One of the new features of the 1.2 update is exactly what you have requested...a CSV export of all the data captured by the app. We plan to continue to add other music theory tests and improved features to the app, so don't hesitate to contact us with requests.
