Matthew Henry commentary as well as study when in Bible college and use many times for resource of clarity of hard phrases in the Bible. I will recommend this to the young serious minded preacher, Pastor, and serious Bible student as a resource that they can trust, and will not vary from the true Dep oh God‘s word. Amp bible
I love it! I read it daily and find it very helpful. I have many versions of the scriptures . When the NRSV came out I was ecstatic. Since then I have a bookshelf of new versions from NKJ and the Message. The amplified is now my go to bible. Praises to all who provide the ways to understand.frazzledgran

If you only use one commentary this will do
If you only have access to this one commentary you won’t go wrong. Usable in a way the full 6 volume version just isn’t on a daily basis.sydlipton
