What a let down.
"Are you sure you don't want to continue playing?" it asks me. Yes, I'm sure. Because I don't want to spend money on lives in a game I already bought for £1.49. This is pay-to-play at its worst.
This takes none of what's good about either game (Portal or pinball). I thought they'd have done something imaginative with the ball going through portals, or something, but no. You just watch it bounce around while occasionally tapping left or right. Nice idea, but very poorly executed.Show lesshughm89
Invasion of privacy
Wish I'd been told before paying that they access your email and personal info. I refused to accept that and deleted the game which means I've paid for something I can't use now. I feel cheated.Pollyjm

A game that damages valves reputation .
Portal Pinball is the same as any pinball game except you have to pay for lives and the user agreement is extremely intrusive .
I don't see the point of this game . It's not like Valve need the money .Davehall17

Love the game, frustrated by the sales pitch
Guys, awesome game thank you. I hate to lower your rating, but the screen on losing the final ball just winds me up.
I have no issue with the concept of buying back in, but after purchasing the game it is galling to have a screen that has a massive box selling an in app purchase, with a tiny box underneath to simply continue. It feels manipulative and cheap. I would switch to a traditional "Continue?" count down screen with a Yes/No.
You might also consider just showing the buy in option more prominently if the player has a high score or is close to one. It is even more irritating after a poor game - why would I buy back in?

A great bit of nostalgia
Only a 4 star as it keeps pestering you to buy 'revive tokens' which is annoying.
