Enki User Reviews

Top reviews

After 10 mins of use;

Apps already ask me to write review after i barely started. BUT; Its a really user-friendly app and its super easy to undersand. I recommend it.

Decent, but not perfect yet~

Quite a versatile learning tool for budding coders, however as a request for a feature; is there any possibly that when using the iPad version of the app, we could have the app rotate to landscape orientation so we can use bluetooth keyboards while completing excercises?

Need more languages

Need to have certificates at the end of learning the languages. Also need to be able to sync and use on multiple devices not just buy pro and use for one device don’t be like programming hub who doesn’t that and that is stupid and pisses people off.

Early days, but happy with app so far

Easy to use, lessons in bite-sized pieces making it easier to absorb information.

Nice workout and quick learnings

Wiki-Tutorial Hybrid

Enki targets specialism not limited to just programming languages but also utilities such as Git, Linux, Spreadsheet, Computer Science, etc.

I find the app to work best as a hybrid between a wiki for lookup and referencing, and a typical coding tutorial. This makes the app effective in reinforcing knowledge you thought you had forgotten. Ocassional workout exercises added to this is very useful too.

The underrated feature that many other coding tutorial apps are missing is the bibliography or “Learn more”. I often wanted to explore deeper into the topics that I’m learning, and having lists of recommended reading is very convenient here with Enki.

There is a lot of features that could be implemented, however. A more flexible navigation across different pages could be done. Sometimes I find it quite daunting to repeatedly press back to review multiple old sections, then again, repeatedly pressing “next” to go to my current unfinished exercise.

I believe Enki have a great potential to fill the gap in the coding tutorial market, given the abundance of programming language tutorial these days.

A great tutorial to start learning coding

Basically it provides a short intro as a 5-min material for each commit. But for each topic, there is a link that will provide a greater depth if you are interested in learning more.

Great curriculum and links for more context

I’ve tried a few mobile coding practice apps and Enki is the most in depth with the most comprehensive coverage of topics. The links are especially nice to deep dive on any given topic for a more complete understanding

Awesome app

Like it so far. I've never encountered anything like that in my life, but the way it's done seems interesting and quite easy to grasp.

Needs support for iPads

GREAT APP for my learning python and code.

Just need to update the app for all devices and screen sizes.
If your gonna have one app for iOS and iPad then at least make it to fit the iPads screens automatically. Doesn’t fit IPad mini the smallest iPad.
Pleas update the app to make it auto adjust to all screen sizes. There’s a button to enlarge it but still a lot of black unused space on the screen lost.
