Reviews of Nano Empire

  • One of the best incremental games

Classic game. Help the resistance or seize power for yourself. It’s up to you!

NOTE: to learn the secret, repeatedly Listen to the Voices at the Great Clown Head and note down all words that have capitalized letters. When you write these down in alphabetical order, the capitalized letters will reveal a secret message.
  • Addictive and fun

As someone who had eyesight and use to love world, empire or city building war games, but uses VoiceOver, it wasn’t that bad. I can’t imagine how fun it would be if there was actual multiplayer mechanics such as battling other real players online or being able to join alliances and text and chat with them or if the game also had an overworld map where you could locate other players or mine resources, text and chat with and or attack other individual players or text and chat with everyone in that overworld or server. Plus, if you’re in an alliance, you could reinforce or send resources or rally with them to defeat stronger individual players and it would be cool if you could name your world too. I’m not sure how an overworld map would work with VoiceOver, but maybe if there was a way to use VoiceOver’s direct touch on the overworld map, it could work maybe because some games with direct touch designed for blind people allow the VoiceOver user to navigate grids or map tiles horizontally by swiping left or right with one finger and while swiping up or down with one finger lets you navigate vertically. I also think two finger double tap could be used to bring up a menu from the overworld map that lets you search for a specific map tile by typing in the row and column or (X and Y) coordinates or from that menu you could choose to return to the “Your world” menu where you can choose to continue the campaign, create or select one of the locations you already have so you can use one of it’s functions or upgrade it or just to review the overall progress of your world’s or empire’s growth and progress. Swiping left, right, up and down with two fingers can have VoiceOver read your current amount of energy, followers, attack points and defense points (depending on the resource assigned to each direction you swipe in), while swiping left, right, up and down with three fingers can read your current production rates of energy, followers, attack points and defense points. (Also depending on the direction you swipe in for each resource) If this game was multiplayer, it would be cool if it could track a lifetime of things like your victories, defeats, kills, lost and resources plundered or lost. this game is fun, but it’s really short and the upgrades are very limited because the maximum level for each building is level 4 and after you fully upgrade everything and either complete the campaign or the underworld, there’s really no replay value besides trying to get the few different endings this game has. i’ve always loved games that always has a endless amount of challenges or goals to reach, such as reaching a certain level or getting a certain amount of kills, I don’t know what it is about these types of games that attracts me but I think it’s when I complete those challenges or goals, I always feel a sense of accomplishment, or it just feels rewarding and it just motivates me to play more and more no matter what happens or how hard it gets or how much I lose. Yes, this game is super short and I literally beat it the day after I downloaded it and it really doesn’t have any replay value besides the different endings, it still managed to simulate that sense of accomplishment or being rewarding even if it was short lived. this game does have a lot of potential and honestly if I had to pay some micro transactions and I chose to pay to win I might because this game has that potential to be so much better and I would love to see more games just like this one that have reached it’s full potential, but I’m not going to knock this game’s rating for what it could be.
