The source of the data is the publicly accessible Caltrans Commercial Wholesale Web Portal located at https://cwwp2.dot.ca.gov Browse Caltrans traffic cameras, lane and road closures, chain control info, and changeable message signs throughout California. All road info and Caltrans traffic cameras are on a Google Map with the current traffic layer. Choose from Regular, Satellite, Hybrid, or Terrain maps. The user can locate the Apple WeatherKit features in the app by first panning, zooming, swiping, or rotating the map's center to the location where a current weather measurement and/or hour-by-hour forecast is desired. The map's center is represented as the blue pin. Tap the blue button at the bottom of the map titled "Weather at Blue Pin" to view the location's current weather conditions in an alert view pop-over. The hour-by-hour forecast is accesible from this pop-over. NOTE: If the user taps a red or brown camera, work, or sign pin, it will centered, and the blue pin will go over-top the red incident pin. The pin will show a rectangular callout. That callout can be tapped to see further details. However, if the weather is desired, tap the blue button at the bottom of the map titled "Weather at Blue Pin".

The map's center is represented as the blue pin. Tap the blue button at the bottom of the map titled "Weather at Blue Pin" to view the location's current weather conditions in an alert view pop-over. The hour-by-hour forecast is accesible from this pop-over. NOTE: If the user taps a red incident pin, it will centered, and the blue pin will go over-top the red incident pin. The pin will show a rectangular callout. That callout can be tapped to see further incident details. However, if the weather is desired, tap the blue button at the bottom of the map titled "Weather at Blue Pin". The weather can also be accessed from the incident details page from the blue button in upper-right corner titled "Weather". - In this app, weather conditions relevant to travel are shown as current conditions and as an hour-by-hour forecast, using the Imperial system. The forecast begins 2-3 hours ahead of the user's current time. The current conditions shown are temperature, "feels-like" temperature, wind, wind direction, wind gust, visibility, cloud cover, and UV index. The forecasts show hour-by-hour predictions for temperature, wind, wind direction, wind gust, % chance of precipitation, amount of precipitation in inches, snowfall amount in inches, cloud cover percentage, visibility, and UV index. NOTE: Only iOS 18+ users can see snowfall amounts forecasted. - Updated Google Maps - Fix for crashes on iPad
