Please don't waste your time with this
Wake me up when you fix it. Please see the view above this for details, but this app is really very poor, and a waste of time.I removed it from my phone about two minutes after I used it.
Worst app ever
I think that valpack should be worries about some privacy infringement lawsuits, as when I held my phone over the $100 (as indicated) for awhile after the scan was completed, I started seeing snippets of others peoples camera feeds... today it was a ladies fingers, her ring clearly visible. And last time I tried it, it was clearly someone’s lap, with the envelope showing in the lap. Now I’m worried about my privacy because I saw it scanning my legs and couch as I tried to scan the envelope. Not cool!!! Additionally, it doesn’t say if you even won or lost!!’ Just some stupid ad for Valpack. If anyone else has had the weird problem of seeing other people in their scans we should consider a class action. I want my $100 at very least. DO NOT DOWNLOAD! Horrible!!

You do not need this app to see if you won!
The envelope is deceiving. There is an asterisk after it says ‘$100 could be in this envelope.’ Follow the asterisk to small type on the front where it says ‘Checks are randomly inserted. 1 in 50,000 envelopes has $100 check.’
It explains on the back of the envelope how to download the app to hear from the winners so you know it’s real. It never said download the app to see if you’re a winner.

It doesn’t do anything
I tried scanning my envelope every possible way but it never did anything except make little twinkly lights. No message saying whether or not you’re a winner. Deleting.
Waste of storage space
Pretty much a waste of storage space. Nothing to see here people. Why do they need access to your location just to scan an envelope. I am guessing this is a Phishing App.
Most Pointless “App” Ever
This thing isn’t even an app – it doesn’t seem to “scan” anything – it just makes tiny dots of light appear all over the Valpak envelope as you point your phone at it. You never get a message saying “Sorry, you didn’t win anything this time.“ So you just stand there like an idiot pointing your phone at the envelope for maybe two minutes, waiting to see if something is ever going to happen. Then a silly little video launches, with broken up images that jump all over the screen, and a chirpy little voice telling you to look in your Valpak envelope for great savings. But none of my favorite local establishments that used to give me Valpak coupons seem to be in here anymore. I will just throw out the Valpak envelopes without opening them from now on, if only because my experience with this app was so annoying!

Eh no.
I thought by downloading this app I could scan my envelope and I could tell if I was $100 winner that way, basically all you’re doing is downloading an app to scan your envelope while a commercial plays. That’s it folks. Nothing else.
Complete Garbage
Serves no purpose and does even that poorly. Double audio and no real reason to use it other than failed attempts to hear previous winners. Don’t waste your time with this app.
Useless
I got this app because “$100 could be in this envelope” and “yes it’s real, hear from our winners.” I scanned the print area and after scanning the printed words was given the very useful instruction “open the envelope to see if you’ve won.”
Doesn’t Work
I scanned envelope (similar to scanning a barcode) - you have to hold your phone still while the video plays.. after the video is over... NOTHING. It doesn’t tell you if you are an instant winner or not. Just nothing. If you scan envelope again you get to just watch the video again. Still nothing.
