  • Favorite workout app

I have been spinning (and running) with CardioCast since way back in 2017 when it was simply known as CycleCast; I stumbled across a used spin bike for $60 on Craigslist, needed something to get me moving on it, and I’ve never looked back. 7 years later it is a rare week when I don’t do at least one if not 3-4+ workouts just with this app. I have my favorite coaches for sure, but I enjoy pretty universally their style, great music, and motivation. I once read someone complain that the classes weren’t hard enough, but I guess if you feel that way, maybe you should up your resistance. I will also say, I appreciate the motivation while not being over the top. I have access to Peleton since they bought out the Mirror (my other favorite workout app) and I’ve got to tell you, Peleton has NOTHING on these folks. Thank you CardioCast for being here!

If I had one ounce of feedback to give CardioCast - more new classes! It seems as though the pace of new material seems to have slowed dramatically the last few months. As someone who has done all of the classes in several of the categories, I will just keep putting in a plug for more:-)

  • Most useful app - maybe EVER!

I got this app for the spin classes. Having the ability to access a fantastic spin class on my timeline, not some random class schedule determined by a gym or company, was a game changer. I mean who wouldn’t want to be able to take a class from the amazing Danielle Devine-Baum, any time?! I started exploring the other classes and instructors. The content on this app is top level. These are some of the best instructors in the business and this app gives you access to them at any time and any place. When I travel, I just take my phone to the gym, which I would do anyway, chose a class and go. When I leave, I’ve had a great workout rather than milling around an unfamiliar gym feeling awkward. I hate running with a passion but coach Cedric Green has me happily doing treadmill runs and loving them. I access this app almost daily. It has already paid for itself ten fold and I am in better shape than I have been in a while. Don’t hesitate, this app amazing!

  • Another happy blind customer!

I struggle with exercise apps because I’m blind. I can’t do what is modeled to me visually - I need verbal guidance. That’s where CardioCast comes in so nicely! The byproduct of their method is accessibility for me. It’s also neutral with language; I love that I’m not worried about being called a lady or guy, or being told to burn that fat. I’m sure those options exist but I haven’t found them and I’m glad.

It syncs nicely with your apple health app and I track the data on my Apple Watch. Thanks, team!

Ps I have a crappy, cheap indoor cycling bike I put together myself and it still does just fine!

  • This app keep me going!!!

I have to be honest, every time I tried to be consistent in the gym, I always had an excuse to drop off and went back to my sedentary life. I have a perfect stressful job to keep me sitting down most of the day and after having my kids, was the perfect storm to keep my lazy behind in the same spot until…AHA! my body started demanding me changing habits.
I have limited time so when I found CardioCast, was a life changer.
I’m on my first month riding with Danielle and I feel fantastic!!! I shifted my workout this week from 20-30 mins and now I’m burning more calories, my joints and body feel better and these workouts keep me going!!!
As She mention in every workout,- This is the time you choose to dedicate to yourself- and this is exactly what I’m doing now, because if it’s not you, nobody will take care of your body!!! Come and join us!!! 😀💪🏻

  • Best exercise app!

This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed an app but I love it so much, I had to. CardioCast is exactly what I had no idea I was looking for. I can’t afford fancy gym memberships or home fitness equipment. I love taking classes at the gym but the affordable gym around the corner does not offer them. Until I discovered CardioCast I would just go on the elliptical and cruise for a bit while watching a show on my phone and get bored or walk on the treadmill for a bit. I never pushed myself b/c I didn’t really know how. CardioCast makes the cardio machines fun! The music is awesome, there’s something for everyone. I just want to spread the word so that this app stays around forever b/c it’s exactly what I needed. The yoga is great, the body weight workouts are challenging, and the walk/jog, and elliptical beats are fun! I just wish my gym had a rower and better spin bikes. Keep up the good work CC!

  • Should be called “CardioFantastic”

Listen, I hate cardio. With a passion. I do not run. If I’m running, it’s because something’s chasing me or to prevent my kids from whatever mischievous tricks they are thinking. But this app, has completely changed the game. My first time using it was for the walk/jog and I actually smiled while running 🤯! These coaches are the best. They know exactly when to push you and most importantly, how to push you. It is completely audible. There is no visual part of this other than where you are exercising. Which I honestly think is a huge benefit. We stare at screens all day long. This app, while exercising, gives us that break and in my opinion, really helps you tune in to your body more. You’re able to focus on the cues the instructors are giving you to really push yourself; which in return, provides a greater outcome of a workout. I highly recommend this app. Whether you’re a pro or beginner, it’s amazing. It’s a good break to just be with yourself, focusing on yourself, for both your mental and physical well-being. Thank you CardioCast!

Thank you @NurseBeek for this fantastic review and we're so glad that you're enjoying working out with us and even enjoying running!! This is exactly the experience our founder had; he used to *hate* running, but CardioCast coaching and music was a game changer. And we couldn't agree more about taking a screen break, especially these days. Keep on rocking and thanks for being a member of the CardioCrew!
  • Better than Peloton

I started using a Peloton at a friend’s house about 4 years ago. Good workouts, but I didn’t necessarily ever ENJOY it. Partly because I despise cheesiness and video workouts always feel cheesy to me. But anyway, about 2 years ago I started going to a beats cycling studio in my city, and I LOVED IT. When we went into quarantine last year, I bought an indoor bike and desperately searched for a beats cycling app that doesn’t have cheesy videos... and this is it. Love love love. I also love the yoga and body weight boot camp workouts (also done to the beat of the music). Definitely give it a try!

  • LOVE this app!

I was addicted to spin classes prior to pandemic lockdowns, so when my gym closed I bought a basic bike and tried to ride at home. I tried the app that goes with the pricey bike (starts with a P) and although I like the instructors I was distracted by the focus on metrics and all the shout outs to different riders. Cardio cast, however, has the awesome music and encouragement from coaches I missed, plus a focus on effort and personal achievement that works with my bike and riding style. I’ve even gotten into the bootcamp and walk/jog classes. The only thing that could make it better is some kind of guided class for recovery days, like pilates or power yoga.

  • Perfect for home spin class

I picked up a great indoor bike during the gym closures, but was getting bored on my own. I have always loved indoor cycle classes (and outdoor cycling), but didn’t feel the need for virtual classmates or video. This app is perfect for me.
The music selections in classes I’ve tried are good enough. I don’t always love the songs — but that was also true with my gym classes. With this app, I have the option to turn it down and still hear the coach, which is a great feature!
The coaches I’ve tried are encouraging and offer good cues, but don’t talk constantly. The only improvement I can think of for the app would be noting if a class has a focus: hills or endurance or sprints, etc.

  • You have to try this one!

I got a spin bike for Christmas and have tried another app and this one for classes. Initially I thought I wouldn’t like it because I wanted to be able to see the instructor, but after doing it once I was hooked! I found by not seeing the instructor I focus more on my body and MY ride and get more out of it. They even have a section for how to set up your bike which for a beginner like me that’s always done spin at a gym was very helpful. I’m excited to try one of the walking workouts when the I Emmalyn goes away outside! Try it you won’t be sorry!
