  • Add Print, Copy/Cut//Paste Functionality!

This app would be 5 stars if it had a print function. I like to print out recipes and shopping lists. (I can’t remember if this app has the Pantry Functionality of the PC version, but that would be great to have also for creating shopping lists on the phone, but must be able to print as I sometimes give these lists to my husband.) Also, it does not allow copying and pasting. This is also a serious flaw in my mind. As it stands, this is a serious flaw that I have found no good work around. Please consider or am I missing something? Thanks for your consideration.

  • Awful

After being registered for several months, now can’t log in. Keep getting ALERT..System error had occurred.
  • Add ability to search by ingredient!

Please consider adding a search function that would allow us to search for all the recipes that include a certain ingredient, even if the recipe name doesn’t include that descriptor. An AirPrint function would also be welcome for those recipes that make a big mess.

I used MasterCook for years before the app was available, and for as long as the app has existed. Over that time there has been very little development which is very disappointing. If I were to find another service that would easily transition my MasterCook recipes to it, at this point I would be very likely to cancel my subscription to MasterCook since the developers seem unlikely to improve it further.

  • Concept is great

I tried using this app via my PC/iPhone to no avail. I gave up after a few recipes.
You can enter about 5 instructions in a recipe before the keyboard covers up the input field and the only way to enter data, is by blindly typing away.
The computer application is SEVERELY dated, resembling something of the Windows 3.1/95 days, and the sync mechanism is terrible. I’ll be moving on to another app if I can find one worth its salt.

  • Printing

Need to be able to print your recipes from the app
  • Great concept, but worst app

I have used MasterCook for years, but am increasingly disappointed by their app. Try syncing, and you can easily end up in a nightmare of searching for your recipes, which seem to have gone away. Or end up with multiple versions of your cookbook on your iPad, with 4 different date versions of the same recipe. Just an awful experience. Programming is outdated and does not appear to use current technologies for databases, spell checking, etc. It doesn’t look like there has been much improvement or investment to the app because it is still buggy and harder to use than it should be. And all the while, you are paying a hefty annual fee — bugger! Look for something else.

  • A terrible, horrible, no good, very bad app

I used Mastercook back in the day. I remember being impressed with their selection of recipes, and that's why I downloaded this app in spite of the poor reviews. Not only is the app buggy, but I paid for a subscription to Mastercook, only to discover that the store isn't being maintained and the cookbooks seem to have been taken down. I don't even know why this app is still on here. Huge disappointment.

  • It's OK, but unstable at times ...

Recently, the ability to see photos in MasterCook recipes has disappeared from the iOS app. I'd really like to be able to print a recipe from the iOS app, especially handy if you're cooking at someone else's home.
  • Want to import directly from a webpage on my tablet to the app

I have just started using "Real Plans" and really like the app so far, but remembered Mastercook, so downloaded it again. Some constructive criticism: I really WANT to be able to use Mastercook on my tablet, as this is what I've used on my computer all these years and love it. However, I do NOT want to HAVE to go to my computer to download a recipe. I would like to be able to do what I can in Real Plans, which is copy and paste the address for a recipe I want to import, have it preload everything into the recipe format, be able to double-check that everything was loaded correctly and then, boom, it's in the app available to make a menu plan and shopping list. Too bad. I hope this will be a change soon, so I can use Mastercook again. Thanks.
