Listens to your microphone even if you have it turned off in privacy
This use to be a great app full of memes. Now it is like any other social media platform. Screenshots from twitter, shadow bans for speaking out against communist china or any leftist wing ideology, outright bans for no reason,… not to mention the INSANE amount of privacy breaches. It tracks you across apps, listens in on your microphone, and tracks your location even if you have them all blocked on your phone settings. This company is located in Hong Kong and unfortunately now controlled by communist china. A lot of the privacy issue started once the CCP took control.

I used to have 9gag and thought to download it again. You get blasted with so many ads, it’s a garbage app now

I enjoyed this app for many years, however these days it’s become too difficult to find actual funny memes in between bots promoting propaganda and stealth marketing.

They lost so many users with their overly sensitive censorship, they’ve flooded the site with their own bots pretending to be users. Lame chinese propaganda site now.

I don’t have any social media, but I love 9GAG ❤️ it fills the “void” and much less addicting than anything else.

I used to love this app, but the ease at which the AppStore opens with normal scrolling over ads is infuriating.

When posting an image is the comments of another’s post the app closes.

No freedom of speech cause it’s a Chinese ran platform.
SO MANY BUGS
I have been a loyal user of this app for over 10 years, but the bugs see getting ridiculous. A new update every two days to fix bugs and create new ones. Get it together, dev team.
