This is my first day using this app. The passages chosen are the fairly negative, dooms day, hell fire and brimstone type. This is not what I expected from a daily inspirational Bible quote app. A lot of the Bible isn't rosy, so I could be forgiving...however (unlike the picture) the app doesn't tell you which book of the bible the passage is from - only verse and chapter. Therefore, I can not explore the context of these darker passages. How can I know that these are even from the Bible?
My passages for today:
Random: 5:18 Then the priest will have the woman stand before the Lord, uncover the woman’s head, and put the grain offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of suspicion. The priest will hold in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse.
Today's verse: 2:1 And although you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience
