Downloading the app for the first time and you’ll get locked on their splash screen with no buttons to navigate to the actual app.

Way better than the grand sumo app. We used it for the May 2025 basho- so easy to follow along! We are lifelong sumo fans and especially loved the sumo terms dictionary. It had info there that was new to us. Very well thought out app that we even use now to follow along when watching tv. Another plus- no annoying ads. Great for English speakers.

App not working for Sept 2024 basho
Never had a problem before. Menu is gone. Unable to open app.
Such a helpful app! LOVE it!
My wife and I visited Japan to see a sumo grand tournament and used the BuySumoTickets.com service to easily purchase our tickets and have them delivered to our hotel room (upon arrival) in Japan. That service was so great and made our experience very easy. After we bought the tickets we learned they also had this app, which gives you real time info on the matches (results, lineup, etc.) while you’re at the tourney. It was so helpful for us English speakers to have all this info. The app is designed so thoughtfully and was easy to use. It taught us all the rules and made the live tournament experience so much better. Do not miss a sumo tournament without it!
