A great game that could benefit from dark mode

This is a great text based strategy game. Concept and unit counters look like they are inspired by Age of Empires games. Either you like medieval era concept games or not; try this if you like real-time strategy games.

Pros
- Balanced units
- A lot of fun
- Not draining but challenging gameplay
- Single purchase, no ads, no additional purchases
- Pause your game; continue when you relaunch the app

Cons
- There is no dark mode
- Some powers are obviously less powered

Just beaten the AI on insane (game speed=slow)!

I have a screenshot as evidence despite the disappointing lack of Game Center integration. Also, exploring the screen by moving around the finger instead of flicking, doesn’t work well. It’s harder to go back from an info screen than beating this AI thing :) Also, the unit types should’ve been under their own headings in the army reference screen for more convenient rotor navigation. There might be more issues I have encountered that I can’t recall right now, but I just want to enjoy my victory and and sleep peacefully :) Oh, online battles would be fantastic, though at a slower speed due to possible delays or connection issues.

Really good game!

I’ve tried many incremental-type games, and I’ve found them to either be too mindless or too complicated. This developer has done it right: there’s enough complexity to keep it interesting, but it’s accessible enough for a casual gamer too.

I also appreciate the super fair and affordable monetization with no ads or IAP. It’s also a small file size and uses no battery.

I like that you can play it when you just have a few minutes, but you can keep going if you have time.

I liked this enough that I bought two of the developer’s other games, which also seem to be clever twists on the genre.

Thank you, developer, for doing everything right with your games! We need more good guys like you on the store.

Fun app

Such a great game

addictively easy to pick up and play with plenty of complexity

This is certainly a fun game which is great to play during a coffee break or whilst travelling. The interface is quite simple to understand and there is sufficient help documentation which is appreciated.
The one small issue I have with the game at present is that some of the formatting in the battle screen can make the readability with VOICEOver [Apple's built-in screenreader) a little difficult because due to where the punctuation appears in the lists for both the attacker's and defender's units, the information is spoken by VO in such a way that it is not easy to immediately determine which numbers relate to which unit, since VO will pause before a number rather than after, so in the middle of the unit list it can be confusing
for example
swordsman: 2 Archer: 1 pikeman: 2
in the above example, if one is not paying full attention when VO starts to read the list, it might be incorrectly understood that there are 2 archer and 1 pikeman units. This could easily be corrected by adding commas after the number of the unit
Other than this small issue, the game has enough replay ability and challenge to be worth playing over and over again.
Definitely recommended.

Intriguing strategy game

Great value! Light text-based RTS (never thought I would ever say those words together) that is a lot of fun to sit down and figure out. Finding optimal build paths then starting over with a new campaign with different unit mixes gives it good replay value. Excellent game design!!

Not worth it

The game is ok but it gets boring quickly. Plus it’s not worth the price that it is. I don’t know if it changed but I got this game for $3.99 and whatever price it is or will be, I think it should be a $0.99. Now I don’t hate this game and frankly it’s not that bad but it’s a little over priced.

Worth it to me

I enjoy the game. It’s worth the cost and I rarely pay for games. I was very satisfied with the voiceover accessibility. Thank you

Great game

This is a very enjoyable and fun game I just wish there was a mode where you could choose your own military units or something of that nature I love this game and I hope that it could be further expanded

Fun, bit pricey.

A fun game to play, however 99p would probably make more sense.

Horse Archers are broken unfortunately. I can’t beat Insane difficultly without them, because eventually you come across an opponent who has them and they are really a resource farm.

Good start to what could become an epic game

So far I give the game a three out of five. I will give it a four out of five if you made a better tutorial with actual game instructions, and a five out of five if you added more content and sound. Also, it’s a bit frustrating to have to use the same units when the computer gets to use different units. Also what’s the second number that follows the item? For example when I see catapult the first number allows me to buy the catapult, but what’s the number right after it? Is that buying a catapult for defense? Anyway, three out of five for now and like I said it’s 2019 and sounds and music would make this game so much more real.

Good but over priced

It’s a good game and fun, but also too simple for the price, this sort of game should be priced around 0.99.

Great little time filler

So simple an idea, takes me back to the old spectrum games where you didn’t need fancy graphics or A-list music
Just a simple idea, well thought out and well implemented
Really like this game, true it’s not for everyone but as a way to fill 15 minutes and as a pick up n play it’s great
The time management and resource management is well structured and the battle side is so simple but so effective
Overall a well deserved 5 stars
Dang I used “well” a lot there🤪

Great game but more could be added

I love the game I would love more units and for one mode where you survive and try not to be defeated and all more units maybe even add where you can make all units

This is a really cool idea!

Thanks for making this- would love to see future updates with new units, and maybe different game modes!
