A novel way to see and hear the stars!
The background to this app is really interesting and using the app is both fascinating and relaxing. I downloaded it to get a better understanding of my role in performing this piece live. It was a great help and the app itself allows you to scan the skies and choose your interaction with the movements of the stars around you. This extends to providing interesting astronomical data for every star.
It’s great to show young children, who are fascinated to learn that the stars are always there, are always shining, and are always singing their own song, even during the brightest day. Altering the settings allows you to see and hear the true magnitude of the stars around you, or if you narrow your field of view, you can slow things down and have a really relaxing visual and audio display. It’s a great idea and I think it would make a really good learning tool for younger children.
