Excellent Trainer For What It’s Designed To Do.

A great resource for review of input screens underlying the MCDU buttons. However, this is not an MCDU simulator for flight programming. It’s designed for technicians and training on the features of the MCDU MENU.

Response from developer

Thank you the kind feedback

Good Practice

Great for learning in the class. I added faults and started looking up the troubleshooting task using the pfr so I can get better with the tsm. It was very confusing for me. Much thanks

Don’t Waste Your Money

Purchased this app to help me learn how to use the MCDU during training. Nothing works. Every input says “this feature is not simulated”. That applies to everything. This is a scam. If you want an image of an MCDU then pay for this app. Just know that’s all you get.

Response from developer

This app is not designed for pilots, and the FMS (Flight Management System) functions are static rather than simulated. Nowhere in the app's description is it stated that it is intended for FMS training. Additionally, menus related to maintenance can be accessed under MCDU MENU > CFDS. We strongly encourage users to carefully read the app descriptions before making a purchase to ensure it meets their specific needs.

Works

Works as intended, helps me practice troubleshooting

Disappointing

Downloaded the app but can’t do much on it, just see the various pages of the MCDU. Would like a refund

Scam

The paid version is exactly the same as the Lite version. Can only see the different pages, without being able to enter any data.

Maintenance friendly

This app does a great job of replicating test procedures in the CFDS portion of the MCDU. There are so few pieces of software that address maintenance functions. Highly recommended for those who want more CFDS experience.

Scam don’t buy

Can’t add anything to the Mcdu. Lite version does the same

Response from developer

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Could you please email us at support@ermsims.com so we can look into this further? There are several pages in CFDS > NAV that require input from the keypad to perform the Slew Test. Upon review on our end, the inputs to CFDS menus are functioning correctly. Any additional guidance or details from your side would be greatly appreciated. Please note, due to the large number of pilots downloading the app for FMS training, the FMS pages are static and do not allow inputs. If this is the case and the app does not meet your needs, we kindly ask that you request a refund directly through the app store. Thank you very much, and we look forward to assisting you further.

Waste of money

„Function not simulated“ is the sentence you re going to read if you try something.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. When interacting with the FMS portion of the app, the message "Function not Simulated" will appear because the app is not designed for pilots or flight training. To address this common misunderstanding, we’ve added more clarifications within the app to help set expectations. While we understand there’s a demand for an FMS Trainer, this falls outside our scope as we focus exclusively on developing tools for maintenance personnel. We appreciate your understanding, and if you have any further questions or feedback, feel free to reach out to us.
