Striving and Starving for Self-care at AAC&U
Great networking with attendees. The workshops I attended were engaging and left time for speakers. I loved the Opening Plenary session and the focus on self-care. However, in order to have good self care you need to eat, and the non vegan options for the boxed breakfast lacked inclusion and sensitivity. Additionally, my registration included meals, (meals I couldn’t eat). Therefore, my institution had to pay twice for meals, talk about inequality.
