User reviews

Cant listen to more then half the lectures

There are alot of glitches in the app. For example the HIV lecture from March 2014 won't open

1 step forward 2 steps back

Dialogues in Derm was easier to access, listen to, and enjoy before this app. This app lacks basic functionality for a podcast app (remembering track time, custom forward/rewind intervals, etc) and shouldn't be forced onto users in its unfinished state

Crashes often

But will be very useful if fixed. Support site is a broken link. Sometimes deleting and reinstalling will allow app to work for a while.

Update Aug 31, 2015 remains unusable. Worthless...

Update Nov 22, 2016 embarrassingly poor application. Still crashes - support link broken for months. Don't bother with this one

JAN 1 2016
Remains horrendous. Application does not work, support link broken, AAD says all is fine with latest fix, but Take Quiz always leads to broken link, bad request or otherwise does not work. Is there no one taking responsibility for this app?

Still does not work as per last post...

Needs work

I had been using the Apple podcast app before. I didn't have any problem with that. This new app from AAD seems to have some potential, but it needs work. I'm listening to a lecture, and I hit the pause control. The lecture continues. I hit it 20 times, and it still continues. I tried plugging in Apple headphones, hitting the switch on the headphones to pause the lecture, and it still kept going. It's like the Eveready bunny. Nothing seems to be able to stop it.

Needs work...still

I want to like this app, really. However, I switched over from the CD version which I usually listened to in my car going to work. The previous version of this app had to be kept awake by rubbing the screen periodically so the iPhone would would not go to sleep. If it did, sound playback stopped when you plug it into your car via lightning connector. The current version is even more annoying when using in my car as it seems to lose connection to the car system about every 2 minutes and you have to select the phone as the input source to reconnect (Bmw 2012 X5). So it really isn't useable in the car. You are better off downloading the MP3 from the Dialogs website and adding it to iTunes. At least the Music app on the iPhone keeps playing when your phone goes to sleep. Also I am not able to pull up the quizzes in the phone app as it keeps saying "bad request". I would also implore the AAD to at least buy a decent audio software that can normalize the sound levels of these interviews. Listening in the car is ridiculous when one person is very loud and the other is very soft. You end up 'riding the volume knob' the whole time. Very distracting.

And if you listen at home, sound playback dies when phone goes to sleep when using headphones or the phone speakers.
