Keeps deleting my review. Zero star app

I airplay to my tv often, especially from YouTube. This app does not do that. WHATSOEVER. It’s completely useless & doesn’t even allow me to stream or airplay movies that I did a “test” for today, earlier, that worked fine.

Easy to Register and View

Thanks to AARP for developing this app. It makes us so much easier and convenient to see the shows available virtually and to register directly within the app. Now I no longer miss movies or theater. Bonus that this app is on Roku so I can watch on my large screen television without casting or cords.

When it works.....

It seems that every other time I try to open this site, nothing happens. It won't load. It just freezes. This is really annoying.

Good app…when it works

I love all of the offerings and it is nice to see them in the app where they play rather than trying to find the listings on the website, but I have one main issue and a suggestion.
The issue is that every so often the pages fail to load. It is just a gray screen and the three red bars in the upper right corner. I log out and in to no avail. I shut down and restart without resolution. I end up having to uninstall and reinstall to get the app to load.
The suggestion is regarding that the all only shows movies and theatre from National AARP. There are so many others from state chapters that are listed on the website but not in the app. Even if the event won't take place in this app, it would be helpful to have a listing somewhere in the app for other events.

Doesn’t work

Registered, says I’m registered bit doesn’t give me access to movie.

Not very user friendly

This is much like regular old TV - a couple programs only available at a specific time, no pausing, no fast forwarding, no going backward — for old shows . I don’t really see the point, especially when we all have Roku or other streaming products easily available at low or no charge.

Waste of time

Downloaded it to find out that you have to register to watch a specific movie ate a specific date and time. That’s not how streaming works. I’ve been a member of AARP for a long time and l don’t understand the value of this app. Deleted it after 10 minutes. There are many free streaming sites - this one isn’t worth the effort to download, which is about 1 minute.

Misunderstood App

The app is a tool to register and watch the live movies and art programs AARP provides. It is not a streaming service. It is a more convenient way to way the movies for grown up or the AARP Theater so that people don’t have to on their computers to watch something they registered for. AARP can improve the app description to be more clear.

Not worth the time to download

There’s nothing to this. Very little content and only at very specific times. Don’t bother.

Doesn’t work at all.

Just a blank screen with no content. Menu does nothing.

Trouble

First time I it the movie froze and had to login through the email. Today, I registered for Field of Dreams and it’s not even showing on the menu! This app is a waste of time and space.

Updated comment Sep 1, 2024: No content appears in Streams, all performances for which I registered no longer show up. Uninstalling the app because it is useless and only takes up space.
Original comment Jul 22, 2024: Couldn’t access the first two performances attempted on my iPad through the app, but at least it works on my cellphone or ensures I open my computer to be able to watch the performance with no issues. The iPad app at least allows me to see everything upcoming and for which I’ve registered, even if I have to watch it elsewhere.

Disappointing

When I downloaded this app I was thinking it would be a streaming app with flexibility. There is no flexibility what so ever. If you want to watch one of the few movies, it is on a certain date at a certain time. Even a small window would be appreciated. I can do better on my cable account and watch the movie on demand, or on another streaming account.
