This app has been very helpful teaching my son the correct sound hearing the sound of the letters over and over again and seeing the pictures that go along with it have been a big help.

Learning Games for Letter Learning

This app helps children learn the sounds of the letters and how to use them using pictures, letters and sounds. This app has an alphabet photo library where children can learn which sound each letter makes. There are pictures with every letter to help children learn this. This app has two types of matching games. Children can match pictures to letters or letters to pictures. Thanks for upgrading this app, which is helping the children in my class master their letters in preparation for reading.

excellent app

This is an excellent app for children learning alphabet sounds.
Very simple to use.

The "h" should be in red

Please correct the color of "h.". Thanks!

Finally an app that uses lower case and the phonetic sounds!

excellent app

This app uses all the proper learning methods. Research shows using lower-case letters instead of upper case are preferred. I read this is true partly because the written word is primarily in lower case letters and children need to learn to recognize and understand lower case letters first. The app also uses realistic imagery. This is important for children to have an actual visual of the object for proper brain development. For example, I've read that some children who've seen the popular Sesame Street Big Bird as a very young child think it's a real bird. "o" for ostrich is correct. This is a very good app and I highly recommend it.

Strongly Disagree

As an early childhood educator, I strongly disagree with teaching lowercase letters first. Uppercase letters are easier for a child to learn to write for many reasons. All but U and J are made from 4 strokes: big line, little line, big curve, and little curve. They all start at the top, as opposed to lowercase letters that have multiple starting positions that are difficult for a young child to remember. At the very least this app could show both upper and lowercase letters so children can learn to recognize both.

Great apps

My son just got accepted to preschool and he is 2 and 1/2 years old. He loves this application. He is just learning how to talk and this is a great tool for him to learn in his own time how to pronounce the words. As a result, he is developing great diction.

Might be good if it wouldn't crash

When I open the app and tap on a letter it crashes immediately.

Doesn't work

This app crashes as soon as I hit a letter. Unusable.

helpful!

Super App!! My daughter just loves this!

It doesn't say the letter!

If it did, I would have kept this app. I guess it's more aimed for kids who already know the letters and not their sounds.

Absolutely Fabulous for my Child!

I watched my child work with this App with very little direction from me.
He caught right on and really enjoyed himself!

I am very impressed with this easy and fun App

My Child really 'Got It!"

fun and easy

wow...a child should be able to learn to read in record time. What a great idea. Awesome!

Great App!!!

This app is perfect for children who are beginning to read! The children's voices are cute and encourage other children to take an interest in reading. This app makes reading fun for kids!
