Muddled, repetitive writing.
The title, In short section and opening paragraphs contain much the same information so the reader feels that time and attention has been wasted. The articles then waffle around from expert to expert who repeat the same view but in slightly different ways. The ABC News treats its readers and viewers like Primary School children not educated intelligent people. TheABC as a whole seems to be on a race to the bottom. They replaced the excellent The Drum with Hard Quiz, hosted by cringeworthy supposed comedian with a massive ego whose schtick is to insult his guests at every opportunity. Unsurprisingly the programme finds it hard to get participants, and so at peak viewing times it runs repeats of the same insulting drivel. If you wand decent News coverage in Australia the Guardian Australia is far better. I eatched a reporter on the ABC TV News who seemed overwhelmed by nervousness, said er and um many times each sentence and seemed to be struggling to remember what she was meant to be saying. Even the quizzes often have mistakes, today’s got the penalty difference betweennthe socceroos and egypt wrong. There are many calls from the right of politics to get rid of the ABC and SBS. WherEAS SBS runs a tight ship, the ABC with its low standards, poor quality and excessive political correctness is only fuelling the calls to get rid of it which would be a tragedy for journalism. C’mon ABC, lift ya game!

No objectivity
After using ABC News as my main news source for over a decade, I've had enough. The left bias is constant and across about every single topic. But today’s article trying to humanize Hezbollah as a legitimate group???? Hezbollah is a recognized terrorist organisation by most countries, Iran's armed proxy, and a direct threat to Lebanon's sovereignty. Shame on you ABC ‘news’.

I have deleted the App. Due to its extreme left wing ideology. I have also stopped watching all ABC news programs on the television and listening to the ABC radio stations. I cannot believe how biased the ABC has become. SHAME.

ABC is not news
The app works well technically, but the ABC no longer feels politically balanced. Too much coverage reads like progressive opinion rather than neutral journalism. As a taxpayer-funded broadcaster, I expect fair and impartial reporting. Disappointing. Do not download or use the ABC

Oh wow, tapping ‘More WA news’ reveals a whopping one extra article. Do better ABC!

Today a news item had a picture: “Try clicking on a red dot “ on it. “Try” is right. Didn’t work. I’ve used apps built by high school kids better than this! What a joke. I can only conclude that, because the app only supports IOS17 or later, everyone else is no longer worth the effort. Great public broadcaster!

App stops playing on older iPhone models, doesn’t remember played episodes
I have an older iphone (12 mini) and find the app stops playing suddenly often if a text msg comes in. Also annoying that it will often replay played episodes.

Finally completed this book! The authors keep adding bits in, hard to keep up!
Also I don’t get why you seem to repeat stories a lot and think we don’t notice just because you changed one name or the age of the man jailed from 24 to 32 etc. So I ended up skipping those chapters. And some of it (like the Donald Trump guy is just so far fetched I can’t immerse myself in the stories he’s in.
I still keep the app on my phone anyway to impress people and trick them into thinking I’m a clever clogs. And unlike the sense of superiority it gives me when I see a simpleton reading from [number] news app without making me seem too cultural and artsy fartsy like the SBS snobs

Articles in the app are often repeated in multiple sections and in the Top News tab.
Some articles remain for days until they are misleading. Today, Sunday, an article headed by”Dry conditions, heat and high winds combine for another day of high fire danger in Victoria” from last Tuesday, implies warns of a high fire risk on last Wednesday. Just one example of many stale articles.
Articles that have been read are not greyed out, or otherwise marked.
The experience of reading the news would be much improved if the clutter of repeated, stale and previously read articles is removed.
I am going to try the website for a while. At first glance it does not appear to have these problems.

Poor reporting
The ABC is unashamedly bias. Ms Tingle’s “analysis” of Mr Rudd’s tenure as Ambassador is so Labour friendly, one wonders whether she is looking to a do a Maxine Mc Kew. Suggest ABC uses Bloomberg as a benchmark ie delineate between news and opinion.
