Does anybody even maintain or update this app?
This app has been glitchy for weeks! And they’re still featuring an I-Team news story from March about San Leandro’s police chief’s hit and run. It’s July, people!Unbelievable.
Fix your AppleTV App
NBC Bay Area and other news apps refresh when launched on AppleTV. Your app does not and therefore hangs and does not load. I have to force close the app every morning. I don’t have a Disney+ sub so I cannot watch there.
AI slop ads
Can you get some better quality ads in your app? It’s mostly misleading spam/scam with AI generated images. Do you respect and value yourself?
Glitchy, helium voices on apple tv
The quality of the app has been going down. The streaming service is glitchy, anchors sound like they're on helium or 1.25x speed.
And yes, the morning show without Reggie is not the same. The silly fun is gone. I wonder how long before Drew is gone :(

Hi your news channel’s volume is very low. Please check the volume. Thanks!
Videos now play but without sound
Back to basic functionality for a video based news org but a stupid preference has been revealed. If I choose auto play, starting with the sound muted has value. If I expressly press play, it seems unlikely I want to watch the video without sound. Simple fix. Let’s see how long it takes.

Forget about it
This is an idiotic app that needs to be trashed and redone. Try to click into a headline and you get some other story. Try to follow the link of a story you want takes you to a another different story. You can never find what you’re looking for here or have interest, even though they continue to send messages on items of interest linking to this app. Frustrating and a complete waste of time.

What Happened?
We have been using this for quite a while since we cut the cord on cable TV. The content plays fine, it’s the ads that most of the time get stuck in a constant download state. Nothing plays, this morning I started watching the 6am broadcast (at 8am). When it went to an ad I started cooking breakfast, after 10min of no sound I checked and the app was stuck on a 30sec ad and the download circle just spun. Ten minutes later it’s still spinning. This ridiculous behavior is frustrating and unnecessary. Your content plays fine and buffers nicely, why can’t you do the same with the ads you force us to watch? Done with ABC until this is fixed. Goodbye.

STOP AUTO PLAYBACK
Used to live by this app but lately every notification I click on 1) takes me to the wrong article and 2) auto plays a video. Auto plays over zoom calls, auto plays over podcasts, auto plays over phone calls... I would just like to READ my news please with the option of playing a video if I was super interested.
I’m moving on to a different app that will hopefully give me my free will back. (Wish me luck.)

ABC news app
This app used to be great. You could click on a story and you would be taken directly to that story. You click on a story and you have to scroll through all the other stories. It’s awful.
Update
The update isn’t great. The videos play by themselves. There doesn’t seem to be a way to stop them from playing automatically. Please fix this! Or tell me how. I’ve tried to no avail.
Edit: I prefer ABC 7 Bay Area for my local news. The newscasters are the best!! But the app… I get a notification on my phone about a story. I click on the story and it takes me to the app and then I have to search for the story. It’s a bit annoying.

Where’s the news
This app keeps refreshing when Im in the Discover tab. Yet there’s no refresh the news. Additionally, under any tab in this app, there’s not much news and most of it is old reports. I’m going back to watching the local channel broadcast live on my antenna TV when I am home.
