About

A player for hearing the same few seconds over and over — for pronunciation drills, for playing by ear, and a perfectly ordinary music player the rest of the time. ■ From here to here, as often as you like Press A and B while you listen, and only that stretch repeats. The waveform is right there, so you can see where the line starts and land just before it. Afterwards, drag the handles or nudge them with the ±0.1 s buttons. A half-second pause sits between repeats (you can turn it off). That gap gives you room to repeat it back yourself, which is what makes shadowing and phrase-by-phrase practice work. ■ Half speed, same pitch From 0.5× to 2×, in steps of 0.05. The pitch never changes, so slowing down doesn't drop the key. Fast speech and fast passages can go down to a speed you can actually follow. ■ For pronunciation drills, and for playing by ear Languages — put A and B around the phrase you missed and repeat it until your mouth knows it. The pause between passes leaves room to say it back, so shadowing and pronunciation checks happen on one screen. By ear — slow a fast run to 0.5× and the pitch never moves. Loop just the bar you want, and zoom to eight seconds to see each note start. ■ Accurate to 1/60 of a second Zoom the timeline to the whole track, one minute, twenty seconds or eight — with buttons or a two-finger pinch. Below it, a strip always at the same magnification shows where you are; slide it with a finger and you can place a point to within 1/60 of a second. ■ An everyday music player too The tabs at the bottom switch between Music and AB Repeat. Music keeps it simple: artwork, title, and skip. It plays on through the album, keeps going with the screen off, and answers the lock screen controls. ■ Sorted the way your files say ABLooplay reads the ID3 tags inside each file and sorts by artist → album → song, artwork included. It can also tidy the folders in the Files app into exactly that shape. Files without tags are grouped by the folder they came in. Text that was saved in a broken encoding is decoded again, so garbled titles come back readable. ■ Fix tags right here Change title, artist, album and track number — for one song, or a whole album or artist at once. Only the fields you touch are rewritten; artwork and the audio itself are left alone. ■ Getting music in Add MP3s from the Files app one at a time, or a whole folder. You can also drop them straight into On My iPhone > ABLooplay from a computer. m4a, wav and aiff work too. ■ Also · Speed and loop section are remembered per song · No ads, and no network access at all · Your files stay on the device and are never sent anywhere
