Unendlich viel Geschichte

Die App überzeugt mich! So viel Geschichte toll aufbereitet. Werde sie sicherlich noch öfter nutzen. Lerne immer wieder dazu.

Dates are confusing

As a new resident of Berlin, with international guests coming to visit me, this app looks promising for sharing stories. However, the dates (specifically years) assigned to events don’t seem correct. As an example, the Berliner Dom was not finished in 1933 in time for the Emperor’s 24th wedding anniversary — yet that year is the one pasted to the top of that article. By 1933, of course, there was no emperor and Hitler had risen to power. If at least the article has the correct year, one could overlook the error in the heading, but as it is, the app doesn’t provide that information. This is true of other dates, too. In short, a thorough editing of dates in this app is necessary, and until that is done, users will need to use Google or Wikipedia to find more accurate information….

Dear Sir, we could not detect the date you mentioned. Our entry about the Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is about a moment in history from 1905, which is also the year on top of the article. You might notice, that some of the entries feature more than one year. That is, if the place to visit has played an important role in the history of Berlin in multiple years. schade…

Nicht zu empfehlen - eigentlich kein Stern… der eine nur, damit die Bewertung abgeschickt werden kann…
Ich habe zweimal versucht, die App zu installieren, neues iPhone und aktuellstes iOs. Herunterladen der App kein Problem, beim notwendigen Herunterladen der Bilder gabs kein Weiterkommen mehr, trotz jeweils zweistündigen Wartens. Sehr schade!!

So much information! Love it!

This is such a great resource and so well written (in English!) and presented that I just wish I’d found it sooner.

Slight problem: there’s a bug that seems to make the stories in the list appear as the wrong year. They’re all 31 years out. So, a story from 1929 will display as 1960, for example. Once you start reading the story it’s clear it’s in 1929, it’s just a little confusing at first.

Hi, you can choose the language (German or English) when you download the app. If you chose the wrong language you can change it in the menu. Just click on the upper left corner and than choose language. Thank you!

Nice app

Very interesting stories and all well written! I also like the extra story at the end of each long story!
I find the tours a bit too long, but quests you can also make parts of it.

Leider keine 5 Sterne

Berlin war in 4 Besatzungszonen unterteilt. Da wäre es doch angebracht die wirklich gute APP auch in den 4 Sprachen der Besatzungsmächte zu veröffentlichen. Ich kenne viele Franzosen die unbedingt Berlin erleben wollen. Also beim nächsten Update bitte dran denken.

Berliner Geschichte lebendig erleben!

Die App lässt einen die Berliner Geschichte erleben, direkt an den Orten des Geschehen! Selbst als Geschichtsfreak kann man hier noch einiges lernen. Dass man sie ohne Internetverbindung nutzen kann finde ich super! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Dear Ana, thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear you had problems with the installation. We will look into that. Once downloaded via internet, the app should contain more than 200 stories and 600 images you can view on/-offline. Perhaps you try reinstalling the app? I this case you need to remove the first installation and then install the app again. Ich bin begeistert

Endlich mal ein wenig Aufklärung über die Geschichte der Stadt, die an den richtigen Orten erklärt wird.
Die Erklärungen sind kurz, interessant und entsprechen nicht nur dem Allgemeinenwissen. Es sind manche Anekdoten vorhanden.
Ich bin begeistert.

Spannende App mit großartigen Texten zu Berliner Orten und deren Geschichte, habe schon einige Touren ausprobiert und auch als Berliner richtig spannend. 5von5

Eine App die überrascht!

Ich wurde völlig überrascht, denn das ist viel mehr als eine klassische Berlin App. Selbst als Berliner lernt man hier noch so viel spannendes über die eigene Stadt. Man muss sich etwas Zeit nehmen, aber jede Minute lohnt sich! Vielleicht könnte man noch ein paar mehr Videos integrieren?
