Doesn’t work
Can’t load any tracks. Just sits spinning saying ‘content is loading’.
Last update has ruined it
The green play, pause, and stop buttons, and the sliders for the loop markers, are all completely unresponsive. I can change the speed and hands, but can only start a piece via the play button on the white bar that has recently appeared. Then I can only listen to the piece all the way through, there is no way to stop or pause it. Touching the practice button takes me back to the screen with the unresponsive buttons. If I close the app before a piece is finished the sound still continues to the end. I have previously found this app useful, even though changing the loop markers has always been glitchy, but it won’t be worth buying more pieces if these changes are intentional and not bugs.

Works fine until you need to restore purchases
Used this for a while and found it useful. However, I upgraded my iPhone and was unable to restore my purchases, clicking the button does nothing and reaching out for help has resulted in radio silence. Not impressed.

FREE? 😢
I got this app as it was the only free ABRSM piano app. The controls are overly complicated and you have to pay to even do anything basically. Also- not related but why are there only 3 ABRSM pieces on Spotify and not more? Overall, a waste of time. Also, it would be nice if we could get at least ONE piece for free- i think this would be a feature worth adding.

Terrible
I am on Grade 3 piano and I was hoping they would have the pieces I play for free but u have to pay for them and I think it should be free. Not recommended to anyone. Terrible app

First of all, why do i need to pay £1.99 for something that is not even applicaple for a grade eg. the 2019 & 2020 syllabus (it is 2024 where i am writing). The past syllabus should be free blud. Next, 9 pounds is horrendous. i deleted it immediately

Clearly a known issue
Having read the reviews I’m disappointed I trusted the app - I bought a bundle of 23/24 extra pieces for grade 6 and they never appeared. Contacted support and there has been no response or acknowledgement. Have tried everything - updating, re-installing, and restarting not to mention restoring pieces. There is a major glitch as it shows I have grade six, shows the pieces no longer available for purchase - but doesn’t show the pieces. I have a fully updated iPad Pro and iPhone and it doesn’t work on either but violin practice partner works fine.

Can’t get more pieces
Whilst this app does have its uses, it has never been entirely reliable; but today (261023) is the worst: I am unable to get more pieces on any of my devices as the pages on the app where these are usually accessed are all blank. Tried deleting app and reinstalling, but no good. Please, please test apps thoroughly before releasing an upgrade.

Not very user friendly
Not intuitive at all. Ok now I’ve sussed it out, but needs better instruction and a back button, plus you have to buy the pieces separately. Could be great with just a few simple tweaks.
Tempo du minuetto not included
Very disappointed. Tempo du Minute only available as 30 second sample. Bought whole package to get the full version as it wasn’t available on its own. After paying £8.99, still didn’t get it. Not the standard I would expect of ABRSM. Requested a refund.
Unable to play
As per the title I am unable to play any of the initial grade pieces I have purchased. Is there anything I can do on my end to resolve this issue?
The app was a good start - but come on!!!
Come on ABRSM, this app is so clunky. It’s really frustrating. Why not allow us to add in the seconds or the bar number that we want to start and finish on, as the scale is fiddly and frankly impossible to use with accuracy.

It should be fantastic but it isn’t
I can’t get the song I’ve purchased- I’ve emailed no contact
Loop function is impossible to use
The loop function doesn’t work- I move the left cursor and it still starts the piece from the beginning. Also you can’t see what seconds you are on while dragging the cursor and it’s very small so it’s very not user friendly if you are trying to find the part you want to repeat. Also this means it is hard to find your place in the piece generally so repetitive practice of one section becomes impossible. Very frustrating and badly designed app.

Rubbish
The app is a waste of space. It will not allow me to download any new music. I’ve checked everything and spent hours. All the support team can suggest (and they took 2 months to respond to me) is ‘tap the blue button with your little finger’ . And ‘check Apple Pay is authorised’. Even though I’ve explained 3 times that i am certain I know how to tap the blue button and the first thing I checked was Apple Pay. They seem to think I am a moron - I’ve used this app for 5 years with no issues previously- the problem started when I upgraded to 4.1 and started on grade 7. I haven’t been able to use since then. I’m so angry with the lack of technical help to get it to work.

Buying additional pieces took my money, but no pieces
I used this app for a few years, and it was okay. Then I bought some additional Grade 5 pieces on my phone. The payment went through, and the purchase appears in my account (on my phone), but the pieces never appeared in the app. Restore Your Pieces’ doesn’t work. It’s not an issue with being logged in with the wrong account (I only have one account anyway). I’ve tried everything (and I have the latest iOS). I have contacted ABRSM numerous times about this but have never had a response. Others have had similar problems so it appears there is a fault with the app, which is being ignored. This is very poor from ABRSM, if their products are taking people’s money but not providing what was purchased, and they won’t respond, then the apps should be withdrawn from sale.

Rubbish and waste of time
Can’t get the app to download the pieces I need to practise, have emailed the help team but no response.
Will not download pieces
I purchased this app a couple of years ago and it worked perfectly. Couldn’t fault it. Now I am looking to download some grade 6 pieces, I have hit a brick wall and am unable to download anything. I cannot even retrieve my old pieces paid for and downloaded previously. Very disappointing. Will have to revert to YouTube.
