Needs some improvements
First off stats are not accurate and is reporting back those inaccurate times to Audiobookshelf making my entire stats screwed up. It will say I’ve read x hours when I only just woke up. I’m assuming this is a time zone setting??
All Bookmarks would be amazing if you could collapse the book so you aren’t scrolling for 5 hours and maybe alphabetize by book or at least add a search field for it.

Premier fois depuis 15 ans que je télécharge une application sans avis. Banco, l’application est belle, facile à comprendre et intègre toute les fonctionnalités nécessaires (dont le téléchargement des audiobook depuis le serveur sur le téléphone) merci
Solid, but has its issues
First off, the app feels sleek and modern, with a responsive UI and well designed layout. It has fun statistics and tons of customization to tweak it to your preferences. It really hits every checkbox for what features I want to see in a player, including playback rate, chapter selector, library browser and filter, metadata view, and an epub reader.
The now playing screen is very useful, which of course is also adjustable however you want it. Coming from other ABS iOS apps I also want to say that I have a much easier time downloading my books through absorb, with background downloads actually working if my screen darkens a moment. That was a real issue with my last player.
Edit: disregard below statements, there was a mangled entry in the db for ABS causing client crashing, as promised it’s a 5/5 for me. Though I’m still unsure why other apps could handle the corrupted entries and absorb couldn’t.
I will say it still has a suite of its own issues though. The app drops connection to the server frequently, even though the domain is reachable through other apps on the same phone or by browser. I believe it’s an issue when flooding requests, happens a lot when I scroll through my library too quickly.
It will also crash infrequently when utilizing the mini-player, I have better luck keeping the app focused most of the time.
If it weren’t for the connection issues I’d say it’s 5/5.

Beautiful, elegant, and functional
I’ve tried many apps for my audiobookshelf server and this is by far the best one. It is truly free and open source as anything using audiobookshelf should be, thank you for your efforts!

I never write reviews but I’m blown away by the quality of this app. Functionally and aesthetically, it’s flawless. The developer is beyond talented. I’ve tried many premium audiobook clients and none of them come close.

Exceptional Audiobookshelf player!
I’ve used other similar products available for a fee on the App Store for ages and have been very happy. Absorb blows them out of the water. It has a fantastic, easy to use and thoughtfully designed UI, brilliant back-end management of Audiobookshelf (including administration options right from the app!) and handles connected/disconnected Audiobookshelf envs with flair. On top of that it has a well managed CarPlay interface! Perfect!
To top it off, it’s free (but well deserved of donation)!

For the love of the game
I’ve tried every single Audiobookshelf client on the App Store and this is by far the best with no paywall, just an opportunity to donate. This man came out of the woordworks and created a masterpiece just for the love of the game.

As a long-time developer, I have to give credit where it’s due. Absorb is one of those apps that reminds me what great software feels like. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, but it does it with style, polish, and grace.

No VoiceOver kompatibility
German translation contains incorrect wording.

* The play button is labeled “Absorb” instead of “Abspielen”.
* The download option is labeled “Vollständig Absorb(en)” instead of something like “Vollständig herunterladen”.
Also, with VoiceOver enabled on iOS it is currently impossible to dismiss the audiobook detail sheet without disabling VoiceOver. Thanks anyway for the great app and the work you've put into it. Maybe there will be an update for it.

Great app for Audiobookshelf
Works well. Can download books easily.
Only thing I need is to stop my mistakenly moving my book reading spot by accident with my fat fingering. Will be nice to have an undo button for this.

As one who appreciates aesthetics, this is by far the most beautiful ABS app. It feels like a professional dev just had a pet project he finally put to market. Beautiful, functional. Fantastic app!
Love it but..
On an iPhone 12 mini there’s no way to scroll down to the episodes section in podcasts. Besides that this is a great app.
